Oh, it stacks. But we're a different system - they use VV, we use VW. Of course, we're biased toward ours, but the Provari is a very fine device, which nobody can deny.
Android browser on a tablet. Actually does not have a name, just says Browser ver 4. Whatever.
It's a pleasure. I know it's tough to wait - I'd already be in jail for multiple felonies if my Futura got snatched away. Fortunately I do have access to a few others so that probably won't happen. But you know, you only get one chance to make a good first impression, and that's what we're determined to do. Afterwards you guys will all be in our thrall, and eager to acquire all the other goodies we're developing for future release. As the saying goes, muahahaha!
"Other goodies?!!!!" I'm already dying for whatever other unrevealed stuff there is on the horizon, lol!
Just to let you know. If anyone else reports this problem tell them to try Firefox for Android. Got right in.
Will this be available with a brushed stainless finish? I see a Stainless finish listed but it looks more like a matte sand blasted finish.
I just pulled the trigger on a custom finish Titanium Blue with inclined ego top cap and flat bottom cap!!!!

The stainless finish is a paint color. Hard to turn aluminum into actual brushed stainless...
But the caps are nice and shiny!

Furthermore the main tube is wider than 22mm correct? A Kayfun, for example, wouldn't have a hybrid flush look on top?
That is correct. But it will be flush with the top cap (except for the contoured one).

There's a thread going around elsewhere on the forum titled "Prowattie mod....I don't Think So!" Before this misinformation gets out of hand I thought I'd take the opportunity to refute it. Here's the scoop:
VW vs VV - The Basics
Variable wattage allows the user to set the "heat" of the coil; variable voltage provides a range of voltage settings to said coil. Variable wattage maintains a constant temperature at the coil, variable voltage maintains a constant voltage.
Ok, with that said what's the problem? Well, apparently the poster, who fancies himself a "fact gatherer" and with whom I've had several PM conversations, is convinced that it's impossible to maintain a constant wattage, given that the coil's resistance varies with time and temperature, etc. How he comes to this conclusion is unclear, but he does it in a manner which might convince non-technical minded folks. That's a shame, 'cause he's flat out wrong. Here's why:
In order to maintain a constant wattage at the coil, the circuitry must compensate for resistance changes. Ohn's Law simply states that P (watts) = V (voltage) X I (current). Now, we can stabilize for a given voltage, which VV devices such as the Provari do, but if the coil's resistance changes, which it will, then the current (I) will be affected. More resistance, less current, lower wattage. Less resistance, more current, higher wattage. So, for any given vape, the heat at the coil will change as the resistance changes. Simple as that. Doesn't matter if the voltage is smack dead on, or pulsing all over the place, the wattage (power, heat) will change.
The DNA 20 has something which, as far as I'm aware, no other VW device can match, and that's it's ability to adjust voltage to changing resistance levels in milliseconds. Using an ARM-based processor it checks the coil's resistance up to, I believe, 10,000 times a second and makes the necessary voltage adjustments to keep the current at a level which produces the desired wattage. Other VW systems check the resistance once, when the fire button is activated, and provide the same voltage level for the duration of the vape. This is certainly VW, but not the kind you're gonna enjoy very much.
This is why, imho as well as many others', the DNA 20 is the superior power regulation system. You're guaranteed a consistent heat level throughout any given vape. VV systems, no matter how good (and the Provari is the best), can't say the same.
I'm not going to engage in a point-by-point rebuttal of his argument, but suffice it to say his "facts" are wrong. I will say, however, and I've said it many times, that the Provari is an extremely fine device and worthy of all the kudos it's received over the years. But it's apples and oranges - plasma vs. LCD. Different systems for different folks. Some will find VV provides the type of vape they're looking for, others VW. This isn't some Battle Royale, just two different ways for us to enjoy our new habit - I mean hobby.
Addendum - Some seem to believe that that the DNA 20 doesn't regulate wattage in real time. Well, it does, or as close to real time as practically possible. *That's the benefit!* If it only did it once, or occasionally, then most of the advantage of VW would be lost. The ability to change coils and still maintain a given wattage is great, but the real advantage is the constant, never wavering heat at the coil while you're vaping. That's the DNA 20 difference, and it is very, very real. End rant.

i agree jon , i really think some people on here try to get too techie i dont know who they try to impress ( probably themselves mostly) i think most of us just want a solid trustworthy vape , when i hit the button i expect it to fire not just 9 out of 10 times but 10 for 10 , i want something i can work out in the yard with and if it gets dropped and gets a scratch then oh well , my provari has been thru hell thats why i have a wrap to cover all the battle scars but is like my trusty dog he may have been in a few fights but i can rely on him just like the provari 100% i hope the futura equals that same trust if it does then all the better ill look like one of the old west gun slingers with 2 trusty side arms
Ditto and likewise. I've got a battle scarred Provari too - more like nuclear war scarred. And it works first time, every time. But so does my old prototype Futura, which I've been vaping on for the last 6 months. I've dropped it maybe 6-7,000 times (often on purpose) and it still works as advertised. I credit much of this to the DNA 20's durability - it seems pretty bullet-proof. You should see how we've abused some of the boards with soldering mishaps and the like. And, other than a screen being torn off in a fit of carelessness, they've all worked perfectly. So, combine a solid case with a very robust board and you'll have a device which you can will to your grandchildren. I mean, after they've 18, of course...

is it built well? (materials and craftmanship)
will it hold up to some abuse?
the provari and semovar hold these true, so far the futura seems to be on the same playing field.
been using kicks for a while, now kick2's so I have faith in evolv's products already.
I think the old vv VS vw thing is getting old myself.and I have zero faith in any 8 dollar chips out of china to actually make a difference.
Cant wait for that shipping notice, but take your time (just do it faster please)

You almost had me sold on one until you said wattage delivers a more consistent vape. Nice try, but Id put my Provari up against that bit of misinformation any day of the week. In fact Id love to see both of them side by side on an oscilloscope.
