I haven't been following this thread but i am interested in getting one. I went on the website and it shows them as being IN-STOCK. So if i place a order today, Will it ship this week does anyone know? or is there a waiting list?

Their status has been "pre-order" until recently. Now that they're "in stock" I believe they're ready to go out. I think they made a surplus which is how they were able to lift the "pre-order" status so if you want one order it and you'll get it in far less time than everyone else. Most of those that have posted in this thread have pre-ordered a month+ ago and despite their having been shipped with tracking in most cases, nobody has actually received theirs yet... but we're hoping any day now. So in a sense, if you just decided to get one I'm jealous because you wont have to drool for an extended period of time like I have & you'll get it without waiting nearly as long, lol.

I am in the market for a $200-ish vape, ready to replace my Darwin with something of similar quality, and my 3 year vape-a-versery is coming up.

Hope some information starts coming out on this soon, because this is probably what will get my money, but seems like it's off to a little rocky start.

Also I am a little let down by the information available on the NexGen site, we really need some more detailed pictures and descriptions about the endcaps and such.

Also I saw somewhere it can run in modes other then 18650, but on the site I see nothing about different sized tubes.

Really want this to be my next vape, I just hope it is actually available readily in the next few weeks.

it comes with the tubes to run in 18650. 18500, and 18350 mode....you don't have to buy extra tubes....

I'm not sure about where they stand with supply and shipping but as i read on their site, each unit comes with the control head, and 2 extension tubes. So that you can use long, medium or short mode (batteries required would be 18350,18490/18500 or 18650 respectively)

The picture of the contoured cap and slanted cap is there. As i understand if you choose the ego thread the unit will be slightly longer than the 510 only which makes sense if you've seen a 510 to ego adapter. The option of flat or curved battery cap is quite clear. DNA 20 will be the same as other mods already released. 22mm at the top for slant top.

For me, that was enough to pull the trigger. However i agree the support is not spectacular out of the gate. I have no idea where my order stands in the queue, when it might ship and or when it might arrive. I've tried to contact them but as you can imagine they didn't respond. I'm hoping that "In Stock" means that they have hardware available and that shipping should be imminent, but who knows. For now the best i can hope for is that some one here puts hands on this thing so that i can live vicariously through this post.

*Update*

Ok, folks, here's the latest update: we will begin shipping next week. First units to go out will be to those on the initial 100 list who chose black or titanium with contoured or inclined caps. Then we'll ship to all others who selected these colors and options. Additional colors will begin shipping within a few days of the first wave, as well as the blacks and titaniums with the 510-only caps. The long, long, long wait is finally over. Almost. It's been a tough slog but there's a bright light at the end of this tunnel - The Futura. Thanks for your unbelievable patience!

Ok. I can't take any more of the whining. They started shipping Monday. Two days after they promised, big freaking deal. The last preorder I was on we were told multiple times they were going to ship only to be set back and let down for this reason or that reason. This wait hasn't been bad at all and they delivered the first time they said they would. If you weren't taught any patience as a child email them and request a refund. Simple as that. Quit your .....in' and have a vape already.

Did you ever for a moment pause and think THAT might be why he's not responding back to you? I'm sorry, but this is a small start up and they are trying to get products into our hands. He's not your nanny and his job is not to coddle you and assure you every 6 hours than your order is still in progress. When it gets to the point where you are harassing the guy (which at least to me emailing multiple times a day every day qualifies), I no longer have any expectation of a reply. What exactly is your goal? Do you think if you bug him enough he's just going to skip all the other orders and magically teleport your Futura to you? They have started shipping. Stop being so emo.

This is a business transaction. Money exchanged for goods and services. If they can't provide goods/services don't take the money, especially if the goods are being advertised as "in stock". I don't believe these expectations are excessive. Relax it's just business (not charity). :p

I myself was told on 9/16/2013 that the device would ship in 3 weeks. Then we were told two weeks then so on and so on. I've only been e-mailing him because he is not replying. I dont need to be coddled and Im not being emo, I just want a question answered. I don't think that's too much to ask.
