That's a blown fuse. Maybe your coil resistance was too low and blew the fuse. What resistance do you vape at?

This may sound stupid but where and what is the included o-ring for?

The included O ring is to be used with your atty, to form a seal between the atty and the 510 connector, otherwise juice will leak when you squonk.

Usually, when you buy a bottom fed atty, it comes with such an O ring. PG has low surface tension and will seep through the smallest clearance if no seal exists.

Got mine too! Will start messing with it tomorrow. Nice blue though lighter than the prototype. Bag of extra goodies. Feels good in hand. Still a little slippy despite the texture. Almost a two finger squeeze. Button action is smooth. Good set of instructions that thankfully give the sizes of parts.

I quickly unscrewed the bottle from the cap and slid it off the tube. Will have to see how it goes on when filled but it doesn't appear to be necessary to untube it from the pin. Just leave the cap on the tube and slip the bootle back on and tighten.

I think the magnets could be a little stronger but it's nice to have the added finger notch on top to help pop it off.

Pictures and thoughts tomorrow after I get it together and fired.

Initially I think Paul, you did a good job and the time spent on working out the details while keeping it affordable paid off. Its nice to have been a part of this adventure!

Congrats man!

Ok I've got a question ....why was the mod designed so that it's necessary to trim the battery? Seems to me that could be a safety concern... Maybe not considering it's only necessary on the negative end.

I can't get mine to fire either. I trimmed the bottom of a battery, checked that it is charged, and tried 3 atties. Now the top of the fuse is scuffed up and I can't see if it's blown.

I guess I should've included a 15A fuse rather than 10A. Those fuse are made in Japan so it's possible they are made to blow at exactly 10A. I've always thought that you can go over the limit a bit without having it blown.

Oh ok, I thought that's what it was for but wasn't too sure, thank you. I kinda wish it came included with the spring that you originally had planned.

If you guys want the coil spring, PM me and I'll send you a set, free of charge. That way you don't have to trim the underneath the battery. But your voltage drop will be slightly higher.

Really? I was gonna PM you about it but I didn't wanna bother you. But I'll definitely take one, I don't mind paying for the shipping though if it comes down to it.

Unfortunately, mine is giving me fits. I've gotten a total of 5 drags between 6 blown fuses so far. I'm down to my last fuse and will have to make another trip to the part store.

Everything is tight. New battery wrap is trimmed all the way to the edge (only way it would make connection to the fuse screw) and the build should only draw 7 amps. What the hell could it be? Lol

Also, it's a PITA to get the fuse to stay put while tightening those screws. It wants to pop out from the smaller one.
