Just curious if you would or could configure the top firing button to the upper part of the side.... I guess you would use trigger finger and possibly sqounk with lower thumb part of your palm.... If you follow? I'm not crazy about top firing box mods..... Although I understand the mechanical battery contact of it.

I will unveil another mod a few weeks from now in another thread and that one will have a side firing button. It'll be unlike anything the vaping world has ever seen. Completely insane. :D

Thanks. But I think it will be difficult to tell the difference in vapes with the regulator in place since the sole purpose of the regulator is to keep the driving voltage relatively constant regardless of battery terminal voltage.

I had to re-read from the start, I didn't think the initial post was also talking about a CV, but I see it was now. I agree, depending on the method for constant voltage used, it should be impossible to tell the difference as a user between a burst of regulated voltage and a burst of unregulated voltage... so long as they are roughly the same voltage.

I'm not sure how hard the rm2 is to coil but the magma is really simple 2 post design with airhole under each coil deep well seems to be conducive for bf 'ing holds at least 40 drops coupled with that 10 ml bottle all day continuous vaping !

RM2 is the easiest thing in the world to build on, it has a ceramic deck so you cannot short to it.

You can build a coil and push it down so it's touching the deck if you wish and the posts are about as far apart as possible, so the chances are whatever you like to build now, you can still use.

The issue of the capacity of an atty disappears when you run a bottom feeding mod, because you squeeze the juice bottle and vape it. The juice is in your bottle, not in the atty getting cooked every time you fire the coil.

I agree, the RM2 is the atty that I judge everything else on, and is the atty that I use 95% of the time. It's also the first BF one I got.

Looks like your going to have some local guys lining up at your door Paul ;)

When are you going to go into production on the Mod?

I have an engraver lined up, I want to add something to the door.

Subscribed and watching, great work!

As far as the atty goes, there are those that prefer the smallest chamber possible, and those that find the smallish chamber a bit too intense for their preferred high power/low res set ups. You're probably not going to be able to make everyone happy, so you're probably best off following your own drum on this one. Maybe finish off the small chamber atty and then make something larger to satisfy others down the road, instead of trying to go in between and make everyone happy? :)

I'm most curious about the voltage drop in mechanical mode here.

Also love the fixed voltage idea. I would be very happy with a fixed voltage, but for me personally I would like to be able to go over 25W (27-33W is my personal happy place). I realize space and electronics don't always play nice though

I tested about 0.25 V drop on a .35 ohm coil.

I'm trying to have this ready by December. There is another mod (a much more ambitious and difficult project) that I'm working on concurrently and will unveil sometimes next month, to provide more choice to people.

Maybe it's just me, but I wasn't able to tell significant difference in vape between my RM2 and my Cyclone. The Cyclone cap is a pain to take off and put back, which is why I only use it as a backup.
those are both fairly similar attys, they are cool bc they have small chamber volume which means great flavor, I have a magma, it's cool, and a ton of others, personally, I like the quasar, it's better for dual coil builds and the chamber is super reduced. I prefer it to anything in the flavor department, including the magma, it's also very well built n the afc slits are very nice.

The Most interesting thing I have read in this thread is you are working on two different devices and an atty. It's good that you have more than one iron in the fire, but this statement sounds a lot like something another vendor on the forums was saying over a year ago and the original product he was to release was delayed for around 6 months because he thought it was more important to R&D different items instead of producing the item people had already paid for and was awaiting the release. I know you haven't taken any kind of pre-orders and hope you won't, but with all the interest that has been talked about so far in this thread, if it were me, I would try to get the original device out the door as soon as possible. I apologize if my comments here have offended anyone, wasn't my intention... Just cautiously anticipating the real thing and hope it is on schedule...

Thanks for your suggestion Muzichead.

While I understand your concern, I feel I would be doing people a favor by offering two different choices prior to payment. For example, let's say someone paid and got my first mod and then I released the second one a short while later, and they like the second one more... you know what I mean?

The second one is also a bottom feeding mod, but has a few interesting innovations. A prototype will be out in early Oct and I will post it so it will not take too much time. On balance, I feel this is the best approach to take in the interest of you guys.

Agreed. I've had my prototype done for over 6 months and haven't offered it to anyone yet because I wanted run it hard and see how it held up. I ran it over with a truck, and threw it thru a wall when I first made it, and it held up just fine, there's a lot to be said about every day wear and tear and his parts are going to break in etc.

You don't want to be the guy sending everyone their money back BC the mod you made worked great in the shop and siht the bed a week later.

Take your time and get it right.

But really, hurry up, we wanna see it! Haha!
