Introducing Myself

Hey everyone! Brand new member here.. I decided to try and make the switch from cigarettes to vaping about a month and a half ago, and I must say.. I am not looking back! I was very much a skeptic that vaping would help get me off smoking cigarettes. I have been smoking ciarettes for about 13, 14 years (close to a pack a day). A close friend of mine (who was a heavier smoker than I was) told me since he got his vape pen he went from buying a pack a day to a pack a week. Now he wouldn't BS me, he is a very straight forward person. So when he told me that, it was music to my ears! So I figured I would look into it for myself.. So I went to a local vape shop, and talked with this one employee who was very knowledgable on the subject. He got me set up with a starter kit that consisted of an eGo C Twist, Kangertech T3D, charger, carrying case and extra coil. I purchased 3 bottles of their own juice (fell absolutely in Love with one of their flavors) and left a happy camper. After a couple weeks of using that setup, I had an unfortunate accident happen. I had my mod in my pocket, all put together, and my girlfriend jumped on my lap. I felt something crack against my leg, and quickly pulled it out to find my battery broke, the tank cracked and I had eliquid all over my leg.. I was extremely sad by this! However, two days later I get a text from her asking if I bought a replacement yet. I told her no (I was using a spare battery I inherited from someone and a bridgeless dripping atomizer in the meantime) she then proceeded to tell me she had gotten me a present.. I tried to find out what, but she was relentless in telling me. So the next time I went to visit my little lady, she gave me a 2014 model Vision Spinner (1300 mah) with an Aspire Nautilus Mini (she remembered me ranting and raving on how badly I wanted the Nauti Mini).. Which is still my current setup.. I very much want to try the MVP 2.0, Innokin iTaste 134 model, Vamo V5 or V6.. As for tanks, I am still in love with my Nauti Mini..
As for alittle about myself: I am from Pennsylvania, don't live too far outside of Pittsburgh. Have been an avid gamer all my life, started on Atari all the way up to xb360 (have not made the switch yet to next gen). Love art, been drawing and painting as far back as I can remember. Music is a huge passion of mine, love all sorts of genre's although I must say that heavy metal is probably my favorite style. I am a vocalist in a metal band, we are quickly approaching being show ready. I have probably played well over 100 live performances with my last band, so I am very excited to get back on stage again... HaHa! Okay I am done talking about myself.. But yeah, looking forward to trying to provide any input I can to help anyone out with vaping and if I am ever in a bind hopefully someone here can provide sound input for me. Take care everyone!

The whole time I was reading your post I kept thinking, "OOOhhh she better be buying him a new PV!" so I'm glad she did!

Welcome to the forum!

Thank you all for the warm welcomes already!! Always nice to have a friendly community.. and to respond to DrRockso, the mini is freaking awesome!! I did alot of research on it before I got mine, and everyone commented on how it makes te flavor pop alot more, and they were right! Great vapor production with it and the flavor is seriously outstanding on this thing. I am using it right now, puffing on some Rad Energy Drink eliquid (aka Red Bull) from Mt Baker Vapor, and it's so freaking delicious!! When you get a chance, snag yourself up one.

Welcome! I'm new here also and been reading a lot in the new member forum. My ->intro<-. I too had been smoking quite awhile. 25 yrs (since 14) at a pack a day. In Mass we're at $10+ a pack so I was spending at least $300 a month! Also a metal fan. My 16 yr old daughter and I go to every good show that comes along and some that don't (travelled to see the Big4 in NYC - totally f'ing worth it!). I've played guitar since I was 8, bunch of bands, etc. We have a few things in common, including the love for Nautilus. So again - welcome :)

edit - btw, just looked at Mt Baker as I seem to be reading that name a lot and the prices are sooo low! You have a lot of luck with their flavors?

Welcome aboard Gang! Glad to see some new folks joining ranks :0)

I'm thrilled to see the early successes. That ROCKS! I'm just over 7 months smoke free and been through a handful of different setups, but I've settled on MVPs, Nautiluses and Protank 2s with a Sigelei Zmax V3 and a Vamo V6 for good measure.

Congrats to you all. Enjoy the vape :vapor:

BostonSean, I am soooo jealous!!! You got to see the big 4, that must have been one hell of a show! As far as Mount Baker Vapor goes, I am a HUGE fan of theirs. Cheap prices, tasty juices, insanely fast shipping.. (I have a few reviews on YouTube I have done, most of the juices are actually from Mt Baker).. They are definitely a favorite vendor of mine! I absolutely love them.

Cool thanks for the info! And yea, the Big4 was something else man. I've been a fan of all those guys since the mid 80's and I've been conditioning the kid since birth. We got tkts like 9 mos in advance so we had more than enough time to build anticipation. I pulled her from school for 2 days, took a bus to NYC, had to get a hotel in Jersey because everyone from this entire half of the country came to see that show and there was nowhere in NY to stay but it was a once in a lifetime experience for sure! Oh, what's your youtube username?

[edit] Just ordered some GwaRy4 from Mount Baker so we'll see how they be. I've loved Ry4 since I started vaping. It's my all day every day actually. I generally order this from Ikenvape as they have a terrific blend, but $10 for 30ml from the Gwar line... Had to try it :)

Dude, that's great! I don't care what anyone says, you're an awesome dad in my book! I am lucky enough to say I have seen all 4 bands at different shows (Slayer, Megadeath and Anthrax at Mayhem Fests.. Metallica at their own tour) but you got to witness a once in a lifetime event right there for sure.. So lucky! HaHa.. Closest thing I could say I've seen to even compete was one year at Ozzfest I got to see Iron Maiden play then have the original members of Black Sabbath come out and follow them up with a performance..

I have never tried Ry4.. I don't know much about the flavor, however I did get Gwar Bloodbath (my most recent video review) and oh wow!! Is it good. You're gonna have that juice in 3 days, so better tell me how it is, haha!! As far as my channel, yeah dude come check it out: (for some reason I can not post links, so just add the ever so popular You Tube dot com in front of the slash and then copy and paste the rest and that should take you to my channel) /channel/UC1xIH21qgMRVySDUgaigTWw
