Kanger NEW e-Smart Manhattan Thick Stick 320mah Full Kit
$54.95 $44.95

The NEW Kanger e-Smart Manhattan - 320mah 808 Thick Stick Kit - is one SMART little kit for taking around town or your favorite lounge-about including:
  • 2 patent-gloss black 320mah manual 808 batteries. THESE ARE NOW AVAILABLE IN 510 batteries AND CARTOS - COMIING IN DAYS...
  • 2 1.3ml top coil SMOKEY e-Smart Kanger clearos (these are much like our successful Kanger T4's but with about 50% more capacity).
  • e-Smart charging system with both a USB dongle and a wall wart. Charge from your computer/laptop or from household current(you MUST use this charger to charge your batteres, any standard 808 charger will not work. ALSO, do NOT use this charger to charge your other 808D batteries, it will destroy them!)
  • Dimensions: 71mm or 2.8inches high (without atomizer attached); 11mm wide or .445 inches
  • Presentation logo packaging and manual.

EVERYONE needs a stick style set up for those occassions or situations where a low-profile, non-conspicuous vaping solution is preferred,. This is a tad thicker than your standard stick style batteries while providing enough charge to provide 3-4 hours of vaping on each battery. This has a VERY cool gloss finish remniscent of the slick look of patent-leather shoes :) Its ready to go out and about the town. This features a cool blue led power ring.

Pick up an 808 to 510 adapter if you wish to use any of your 510 cartos/clearos. Also our Phoenix 808's will work just fine on this unit without an adapter and we have Kanger T4's coming in also in an 808 connection.

Hi Dannoman,

I am very confused by your new product, the "Kanger NEW e-Smart Manhattan Thick Stick 320mah Full Kit". I previously asked GV Support for recommendations on KR808D-1 bottom coil clearomizers, and the response was "No, 808's are gradually being phased out." If you want to know who I contacted, please PM me, not because it's a secret, only because it's just bad form to throw names around. :)

This leads me to a couple of questions.
1. If they are being phased out, why are you bringing in new 808 products?
2. Do you have any recommendations for 808 BCC (other than Phoenix) Clearos now?
3. Do you have a process for requesting this new product (or any for that matter) for review purposes?

Anyway, thanks in advance, I appreciate your assistance with this.

Really looks like a classy pv. These will go great with my Phoenix Reborns.
I was wondering why it is not compatible with other 808 chargers? Is it reverse polarity?

Different types of batteries have different charging requirements... some can charge at a higher ( or lower ) rate than others. Example, a 510 battery and an eGo battery... the 510 type can't be charged as quickly or with as high of an MAH rate as the eGo types.

Dev, I am sorry about that. I was under the impression that 808's were being phased out. My mistake. I have answered you in more detail in tickets. Once again sorry.

Hey Woody!

It's all good, I was just really confused with the response vs. the product lineup (also where to best ask the question). I appreciate the reply.

I'm also going to hijack this post to take the opportunity to publicly state how AWESOME your support is! You have been exceptionally helpful and I want to express how much I appreciate it. Thank you for everything!

I hope you have a GREAT weekend!

Yes, but I was under the impression that if you used a lower charge rate the "bigger" battery that is capable of being charged could still charge without destroying anything...it'll just more slowly. That's why I suspected a reverse polarity.

A couple questions, I could sure use a coupl'a shorter mods for out and about.

What is the length of this unit, bottom to top?

Also, I had understood that any batt. as low in Mah as these would not be ok because of some "C" factor, which I don't quite understand. So how does this fit in with that "C" factor thing, is it safe?

Thanks.

As for the length, according to tKanger e-smart – KangerTech it is 133mm x 12mm

I don't really know how to answer the question on "C" factor other than by providing this info ... Battery Physics hopefully it answers your questions.

Hope this info helps!

The term is actually "C rating" ... not factor.

The C rating is how many amps ( or milli-amps ) the battery can be charged or discharged at. There is a C rating for each, in otherwords one for the charge rating and one for the discharge rating. The C rating is determined by the type of specific chemistry a battery has... The rating itself is a factor of the actual MAH that a battery has... so a 500mah battery with a 1C charge rating is able to be charged at a 500mah rate, a 2C rating can be charged at a 1000mah ( ie 1 amp ) rate and so forth, the same is true of the discharge rating though that amount will differ from the charge rating itself.

You will often seen a low MAH battery not recommended to use a low ohm vaporizer simply because it would end up discharging at a rate higher than the battery's discharge C rating. So it isn't a matter of a particular battery being safe or not... it is a matter of if you would end up pulling more amps ( or milli-amps ) than the battery is rated for.

The same holds true for what charger is being recommended for a battery. This is why most typical 510 batteries will only recommend a charger that puts out around 150mah... and eGo charger will often be rated at around 300-450mah etc. When a manufacturer recommends that you only use their charger on their batteries, it is so they know you won't be trying to use too little or too much of a charger and not because one may have a different polarity ( typically ). You'll also find this done with cell phone chargers as well... so it's a common practice that they only recommend their own charger in order that they can ensure the proper C rating is maintained... something they can't do if you choose to use a different charger.

devauto and rdsok,

Thank you both for the very useful information. Will get into the link you referenced dev.

rdsok, ok, I think I've got a little better grasp of the "C rating" thing now. I take it this new product, properly used and charged, is then ok, otherwise GV wouldn't risk selling them, of course.

Thank you both.

Overall 808 connections don't have as much manufacturer support. But Kanger, one of the pioneers of the 808 still very much produces 808 equipment...

I am very sorry I forgot to measure these out for everyone. Here is our own digital caliper measurement:

Dimensions: 71mm or 2.8inches high (without atomizer attached); 11mm wide or .445 inches

Just got mine, like it, will go good in airports, (airports NOT airplanes, please everyone don’t vape on the plane and get ecigs banned from carry on) would like to turn it up a volt BUT good enough for what it is. Son, who always makes fun of all my geekie stuff and doesn’t really smoke/vape a lot, loves it, like old school the way we started vaping.

Just got say how fast gotvaps gets this stuff out, I order from hotel in Mexico Friday, get home Saturday and the package is waiting for me, i couldn't belive it
thanks again all in Sugarland!
