Not sure if SteelJan will do a review. From a private conversation, I know that she had mixed thoughts on the X2, but no clarification as to what those thoughts were.
Filling the Clearomizers is easy enough. Remove the tip (unscrew and pull out), and then drip the liquid down the sides of the Clearomizer being sure to avoid the center tube. Replace tip and ready to vape. I did have some minor leaking issues on the batteries, but nothing major that a swipe with a tissue wouldn't take care of. The X2 automatic is also sealed, like their regular automatics. I still kind of like my manual X2 over my automatic X2, though. The plastic taste of the tip put me off, though.
I don't care for the Clearomizers, but I love my X2's. I got the 1300 X2 automatic to start, followed it up with a 1300 manual. There is power in these batteries. I prefer using the cartomizers, but they can be used up quickly, I have to watch them. I did get an 808 to 501 adapter to use so I could try the Phoenix cartomizers from GotVapes, which work very well with the X2 with the adapter. Now, I prefer the Phoenix over the Clearomizers, but there is a metalic taste I don't like. Filling is not as easy, using a syringe, but it isn't an inconvenience for me, either. Regardless, I vape a whole lot more liquid with either the Phoenix or the Clearomizer, and I'm not so sure that is a good thing, lol. I still like my SI cartomizers better. That is my personal taste, and I think there are a whole lot of folks out there that prefer the Clearomizers.
I have not had any of the problems reported early with the X2's. I think SI moved fairly quickly to get problems taken care of fast to ensure better product in subsequent shipments. The only bad thing for me is that now I'm going to have to get an X2 in every color and size, just like I did with my regular batteries, the 65mm and 78mm batteries.
If you have any problems at all, I'm pretty sure SI will take care of you.
