Introduction and a question about tanks

I just signed up for an account here, so I thought I'd say hello! I've been lurking about for some time now, and have learned quite a bit from you all.

I've been vaping off and on since July, after having smoked 2 PPD for...too many years to count. I'm using an iStick 30W with nautilus Mini (which I LOVE!) Actually, I have 2 of those setups, because it never fails I'll forget to plug one in, or forget to refill before I leave the house. Gotta have a backup always!

I'd really like a tank that has a bigger capacity than the Nautilus Mini. I was wondering why the Mini is recommended to so many beginners rather than the regular Nautilus? Is it too big for the iStick 30W? Or is there some other reason why it's not as good as the mini?

Well Welcome to ECF & Congrats on quitting the stink sticks
sorry I don't know much about the Nautilus tanks but my guess would be the diameter of the tank base some full size tanks may hang over the edge of the Istick30 My crown when put on my VTC overhangs slightly does not affect performance just may not look right. If you love the mini but want a bigger tank I see no issue with the full size tank if you don't care what it looks like but I could be wrong Just found this video

I'd try the full sized Nautilus if I were you. They are exactly the same tank, using the same coil heads, except the full sized Nautilus has a larger liquid capacity.

The minis were and are more popular as a starter tank.. Because they fit on a EGO or Vision type battery better than a full sized tank.

If you are looking to upgrade, and still want replacable coils. You might look at the SubTank style cleromizers. Or jump to an RTA like the kayfun.

I was also thinking of getting the Triton. I think that one can go into subohming, or not. I doubt I'll ever get into doing my own coils. This one has a smaller juice capacity than the full size nautilus, but still bigger than the mini.

Some of the Subtanks have coils available at above 1ohm. So if you don't want to go sub you don't have to. That said if you like the nauty, the full size tank does work on the Eleaf.

Where do you find the smaller bore drip tips? Does it matter what tank you have?
I have drawer full of them!! I've used Twists with carto tanks for years and only just recently graduated to my Isticks and a couple Nautilus tanks, Protanks, aerotanks. So over the last couple of years I've amassed quite a quantity of drip tips. They're just plain ol 510 drip tips, cheapest I could find. I have some expensive handmade ones too but they're so big I don't use them. So far the cheap 510 tips work way better than the tips that come with the tanks. Don't look nearly as nice but I'm not out there flashing it around anyway.
