Hello all!

I'm currently a user of the EonSmoke electronic cigarettes (24 mg) and I'm looking to get a eGo starter pack. I liked the EonSmoke due to their great variety of flavors and the convenience of buying the cartridges from the corner store across the street. Lately I have been having some problems with the batteries and I've heard you can get a better throat hit and better/cheaper smoking experience from the eGos.

A bit on my smoking background. I've never liked to smoke regular cigarettes (just didn't like the real tobacco taste) but loved smoking the Djarum Clover cigarettes which I would at times smoke up to a pack (12) a day. I would also smoke a cigar every once in a while. The flavor of the clovers was something that I really liked which is why it wasn't a big change to switch to the EonSmoke with their great variety of sweet flavors (mojito is my favorite).

I consider myself to be quite a heavy smoker even though lately I have cut back to where a pack (5 cartriges) lasts me about two days max.

What I'm looking for is an automatic battery because of the convenience of being able to smoke while using my hands without having to hold the button pressed. I do have a manual battery which I only rarely use as backup when my other 2 are charging and I dislike it greatly.

Which eGo starter kits would you be able to recommend? I'm looking to not spend over $100 if possible. I read the InfoZone section of this great site and think the eGo would be a good place to start. While searching earlier today I saw some videos of the kayfun atomizer in action. The sheer cloud of smoke is amazing compared to what my little ecig does now but boy is it HUGE!!! It's also very expensive from what I have heard so far so I am not looking for something that big (and it's manual I believe) just yet.

Thank you all in advance! Unfortunately I wasn't able to find any local vape shops in my area so I will have to order them. Looking forward to your replies!

Most recommended starter kit on the Forum:

http://www.myvaporstore.com/Vision_Spinner_Joye_Ego_C_Twist_Combo_p/vvs-c.htm

Recommend two Spinners and two evod's. Add juice, and ready to rock and roll. This might not work with your present system, but I'm not sure if you want to stay there, or move up to a variable voltage device that will give you a great vape. You can literally use any flavor, at any strength with this kit. Good Luck!

IMO the Vapor Zues from Vape4life has got to be one of the best kits for entry level vapers. Check PBusardo and Grimmgreen for the review on YouTube.

That looks like something that would work for me. And it's hands-free! I watched the couple review videos on it and I'm about to order it right now. The only downside in the reviews was the price. It's $90 for the kit which comes with just 1 battery. It is 5v and lasted 8 hours in the reviews. I wonder if I should order an extra battery or try it out first. You can smoke it while it's charging.

Thanks man!

Forgot to mention. It was said that Vapor4life doesn't make great-tasting eLiquid. It doesn't say what eLiquid would be compatible with the Vapor Zeus so I wonder if I could use just any eLiquid with them. Could you recommend some high quality, great tasting brand of eLiquid? Thanks!

I did a search , and someone here on ECF was using these$7.68 1100mAh Automatic USB Rechargeable Battery with Blue LED Light for EGO-T E-Cigarette at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping , the eGo is a great battery , never tried the autos though . I still have 1 out of 3 that i bought about 2 1/2 years ago , 1 was dropped and broke was a passthrough , second no clue how but it was in a carry along as a backup . and 3rd is sitting in a box now that i have 2 Vamos . Yes , i still carry a backup , but its a Vamo also .

If an automatic is still what you are looking for . Good luck .

No problem eJohn. An extra battery is always a good idea, although it starts getting a little spendy for a stick batt set up at that point. (start thinking about a VV/VW at that price point)

Ya, a nice feature of the Zeus is that it can be VAPED(not smoked) while being charged.

You can use ANY juice with the smileomizer; although juices heavier on the VG side is going to diminish the life expectancy of your atomizer.

My personal all time favorite juice is Kentucky Premium Blend from Vermillion River. I also really dig Mom and Pop Vape Shop RY4, but thats just me. I would just find a "what are you vaping right now" thread on here and get a few bottles of whatever sounds good to you.

I don't think you'll be disappointed if you pick up the Zeus; mine served me very well. Goodluck on your vape quest:)

I ordered it last night! :)
Got the extra battery and the 5 smileomizer pack (both in large size) and a bunch of their eLiquids too. I figured the flavor is largely based on personal taste. They have around 100 different eLiquid flavor on their site and when I saw the Clove flavor and the reviews of users who used to also smoke the Djarum Clover cigarettes I nearly lost it! Yea, I ended up spending (way) more than I initially planned but I hope it will be worth it in the long run.

Now I just can't wait for them to arrive. Will report back when they get here as well as the eLiquid taste.

Thanks again and I got the impression from your last line that you have moved on from the Zeus. What do you use now?

Right on eJohn! You'll be golden in a couple days! My current set up is an iTaste SVD with a GG Ithaka. Got my pre-order in for a Just GG-so kind of just happily bidding my time until that arrives:vapor: Sounds crazy, but I'm excited for you. I remember getting my first solid set up and how satisfying it was. Then realizing I'd never smoke again; it was just an incredible feeling. Be well friend.

I was curious so I searched your current setup, the iTaste SVD and WOW... it's so beautiful! I watched a couple of videos on YouTube and I really like the look of it and the display. It's not just looks, of course, and I am just beginning to learn about the VV and VW features. In the videos it looks like the iTaste does come with the iClear 30 atomizer tank. I also found it going for around $60 on Fasttech $60.08 INNOKIN iTaste SVD Telescoping Variable Voltage Electronic Cigarette Set - w/ 2 x iClear30 atomizers and heating cores at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping but then I got confused because it also sells for $195 on cloudsofvapor.com and it comes with the telescope mod. Is that just so you can fit different size batteries or does it do more? Which one do you have?

I really like all the electronic features and colors like for example when pressing the button it shows you the charge level by lighting up in a green glowy color. How does the vape cloud compare to your Vapor Zeus? I know you have to hold the button pressed to vape on this one so it may not be suited for me when I need to use both my hands but I could find a use for it in the future. I just love how it looks. Also, why are you getting that GG Ithaka tank? Will it improve it by that much?

I am just curious. The price it sells for on Fasttech is just a fraction of what I paid towards on my order for the Vapor Zeus starting kit, the XL battery and the eJuice. This is pretty fascinating and I am glad that you answered me a couple days ago to my noob post.

I would definitely check the ECF classifieds if and when you start thinking about an SVD or any other VV/VW device. I saw an SVD going for $45 shipped just a couple days ago. Prices can vary from one vendor to the next depending on what they're including in the kit. The two telescopic tubes are for accommodating different (rechargeable) battery sizes.

VV/VW devices are very handy in that most will tell you what the current charge on your battery is and what the resistance of your atomizer is, along with being able to dial in the volts or watts. The downside is, like with all thing that require electronics to function; they are subject to failure. Also, VV/VW devices are "protected". Basically this protection limits the ohms you are able to vape at and thus protects your battery from being over drawn. This limiting feature of VV/VW devices is why a lot of vapors move to mechanical mods- no wires, no solder points, no electrical interface= no failure. Thats what the Just GG that I pre-ordered is; a mechanical mod.

So, the GG Ithaka that I currently use on my SVD is a RBA(rebuildable atomizer). And with RBAs, you are able to build your own coil which means you can build a coil that is VERY low ohms-sub ohms even. I'm currently building coils at 1.3 ohms because thats as low as the SVD will allow. Most will agree that at lower ohms the more flavor you'll get from your juice, the better throat hit you'll get, and somewhat better vapor production(these are topics heavily and constantly discussed around here). This is why I pre-ordered a Just GG- to vape at lower ohms.

Vaping is indeed fascinating. Keep poking around ECF and asking questions, and you'll be amazed at all the different ways to achieve your perfect vape. You don't have to spend a ton of money to find it either, but if you do(and sometimes it does due to the curious way vaping quickly becomes a hobby) then so be it. Whatever it takes to stay off analogs. :toast:

Gggrrrr.... was hoping to get the shipment in the mail today but it didn't happen. Ordered it late Monday night and even though it says 2-Day USPS Priority it's Thursday and it didn't arrive from IL to NJ. Hopefully tomorrow. My EonSmoke cartridge supply is getting low.

BigBang, thanks for the basic info on the RBAs and mechanical mods! What kind of "maintenance" is needed for say the iClear 3.0 that comes with the iTaste setup? I noticed it comes with two of those tanks and they use the cotton thread heads. Do they have a limited lifespan? What kind of maintenance do you do on your tanks? Also thanks about the info of the benefits in regards to using a lower ohms tank. I didn't know that.

Sue U, I've ordered the Vapor Zeus from Vapor4life exactly for that purpose. Still waiting on them to arrive so I can't comment on their effectiveness.

I picked up a joyetech eRoll about a week ago. Auto batteries and light enough to hold in your mouth.
The starter kit + 1 atomizer sleeve + 10 extra cartridges was less than $80.
Battery only lasts about 10 minutes, but the case/charger keeps two of them alternating nicely through the day unless you start to chain vape . . . and then I grab the eVic with eVod/tank cartomizer.
Check out the forums for juice recommendations. I get mine from about five different vendors.

Hey buddy. Maintenance on the iClear 30 is ridiculously easy. Unscrew everything, run under warm water, pat dry, done. Replacing the heads is just as easy- unscrew old atty/ screw on a new one. All atty's have a limited life span. How much you vape, type of juice(VG heavy juice tends to kill em quicker) and the watts/volts your set at will effect your atty's life span.

If the iClear 30 is anything like the ViVi Nova , you can actually rebuild those yourself also rather than dropping 2 bucks or so in a new coil head . If it is , check out PBusardos channel on Youtube about the ViVi rebuild , its really simple .

When i used my eGo batteries , i dropped them so many times just letting them 'hang' in my mouth like a cigar , i wish i would have had a neck strap for then at the time . I broke 2 that way where the cartridge stayed in my mouth and the atomizer and battery dropped . A small piece of clear tape should hold yours if you want to try that to help if you try my stunt .

And for the money , you cant beat a Vamo either , i got my Stainless Steel Vamo Kit for about 36 bucks from Vapor Break dot com in china plus shipping . Not gonna say you cant find it cheaper elsewhere . The kit should come with the Vamo , 2 batteries and a charger . Last one i got came with TrustFire 18350's . I have seen some kits that include 2 - 18650's in which case you can only use 1 at a time, unless you buy an extension that will turn it into a billy club . hehehe

Hope you enjoy your new 'toys' when you get em in . let us know what you think .

I'm planning to get the iTaste SVD in the near future but there is a foreseeable problem I could use some help with. The iClear 30s that the device comes with are made of plastic. I am partial to sweet and citrusy flavors. In fact one of the juices in my still-to-arrive order is pineapple. From what I've researched the citrus type juices don't do well with a plastic tank... they eat at it and eventually lead to cracking.

Any advice on a glass tank for the SVD? I'd like one that's flush with the rest of the unit like the iClear 30s but does well with citrus juices. Thanks in advance!
