Invalid file with signature

When I try to upload the an URL for my signature, it comes up Invalid file. I can upload images from my computer just fine. Can anyone help? I'm trying to upload a banner

Where are you trying to get the banner from? You also need to ensure the link is input as BB Code and not HTML.

Did you copy and paste every character exactly as it's seen in the "Please paste the following into your ECF Profile's 'Edit Signature' box:" field?

You need to copy/paste everything in the white box (example below - some info will be slightly different based on what you put in about date and how many cigs you smoked/day):
