Having put some scratches on my IPro while testing its weight handling capabilities, I'm thinking I want to dress this PV up a touch.

I like the looks of this cigar tube, but have no idea if I could make it work. And of course, the site gives no dimensions. Ideally, I'd like to be able to slide it in with the mouthpiece sticking above the inner tube, and be snug enough fit around the tube to be able to fire the button through the leather.

Hey, a knock off built to fit IPros, and Buzz Pros could be a nice optional carry case.

Speaking of breather holes. Are they there in case of battery failure, or to prevent battery failure?

They are there "in case of" the unlikely event of battery failure or in technical terms if the batteries fail and "vent" or "vent with flame"(battery manufacturers term for explode).

Heaven forbid it should show a few scratches.....

However, leather is dye-able and could be stenciled or etched.....

If you could find a cover just a tad too tight you could remove the battery, seal her up and put the leather on it damp.....it should shrink too fit.

Otherwise let me know, the son has had several paintball guns anodized and knows a place in Atlanta that does nice "drop off" work.

Thanks all. I'm going to give this a whirl. We'll just call it my IPro's winter coat.:2cool:

Another reason I want to do this is I work outdoors, and my hands get very dry during the winter. I'd like to get a better grip.

Even if after getting eyes on it, at worst it should make a nice carry case.

There is dimensions posted in one of the infinity threads on here.
Per Mike: Size 4.75" long x .5 " diameter
Churchill's are traditionally 7 inches long x 47 ring gauge (47/64ths) if that helps, maybe with a little bit of leather work it might fit.

This might actually wind up a pretty good fit. The IPro actually measures 11/16th's or 44/64th's in diameter, and 5 1/4" in length measured to the end of the 510 end cap. I'm sure nothing a little duct tape can't fix right up...lol.

Heaven forbid it should show a few scratches.....

Nah Kev, the scratches are as you know, not THAT bad. You know how I get with a new hobby.

Camo Tape????

I love the stuff, folks cover perfectly good shotguns with it then sell then 2 years later at half their value cause the tape goes bad and they get ugly!

D, I hope the leather works cause I know how much you love that mod. If you cant find a leather cover to fit hollar cause I know between your Cajun will and my Georgia hard headed-ness we can find something...

Mamma's Singer is still here in the den....Find some glove leather and we'll pattern it, make it work and market it! I'll bet we could sell enough of them to make yours a 0 dollar improvement!!!

If the leather jacket doesn't work out you could always try the fur coat...

Got my latest accessory in yesterday. Me likey!

After eyeballing this cigar tube, I decided not to mutilate it with any holes, cut outs etc. Don't need to.

The tube is the perfect length, but just about 1/8" wider in diameter than the IPro. So to make a nice smooth fit, I just wrapped a ring of electrical tape around the IPro about an inch below the button.

Since there is stitching on one side, it's easy to put the IPro into the tube in exactly the same position so I know what side the fire button is on. The leather is supple enough so I just fire the button through the leather. It's easy to feel the button through the case, and I've already created a little wear pattern where the button is LOL. To adjust the voltage, I just slide the IPro up, adjust, then slide it back in.

With the top cover on, I can safely carry my IPro in my pants pocket without worrying about breaking the plastic cartos I've been using.

The part I like best is the feel in my hands. It's as though it weighs half of what it did. The leather allows for just a light grip. Just feels good.

The only negative I can find is with the cover on, I can not stand it on end. Solved that little problem with a now empty shot glass.
