Make sure unit is on and hasn't gone to standby or sleep (which happens if 10 seconds pass and no activity).
Press the fire button briefly (makes sure it is awake).
Press and hold the + button and while doing so hit the fire button. The screen will read "touch fire ON".
Press and hold the - button and while doing so hit the fire button, it should read, "touch fire OFF".
At first it will look like you are changing your wattage but don't panic.
If this doesn't work then something is wrong with your unit (or you).

On battery selection...

A 3100 mAh battery will not give 3100 mAh at both 1.5A and 15A drain...as the load put on the battery increases, the battery's capacity decreases. You must look up battery graphs (like those at lygte-info) to find out the actual performance of a battery at somewhere near where you are going to be vaping. The Samsung 25R is the longest-lasting battery I've found yet with performance similar to what we want, but you should look at the graphs and make that decision yourself.

Those charts were from 2012, so the batteries I'm looking for are not there. Also the max current they tested on was 5A. still quite interesting to look at. It remind us not to just blind trust the labels.

my main concern will be if it is safe to use 20A batteries, on a 20A max input device?
if not, to save me the search time on some kind of updated chart, or full review on those batteries.

I got mine from fluidvapes and mine doesn't seem to turn off either, but it's fine for me I prefer firing it with the touch fire

I don't know why everyone is wiggin on batterys! Just get what's known to be good sony vtc5 they are only 10 or 11 dollars. I mean really! You spend 80 bux on a mod why cheap out on the battery's? lol

It is not about buying a cheap batteries, is about which will perform better and longer. if there is a better one I don't care if it cost a few more bucks (or less) I want to vape as long as it can get with a 18650 in a 35-50 watts range.

I assume that they are all tested on a load bank, so the current draw is constant..again assumptions. I'd like all charts with a summary of testing, including atmospheric conditions, equipment, and anything else that effects the testing results.
I haven't looked up battery specs in a long time, but I rarely saw any specifics on their testing when I did..

And yet another edit- A 20Amp continuous rated battery would be more than fine... even a 10 amp continuous rated battery would be ok too, if it doesn't sag under the load we need, and the burst rating is solid data/can be trusted.

The guy on calivapers that did mod voltage loss tests was pretty thorough.

I'm trying to engineer a switch and special cradle to test batteries with, but I think I caught MERS from my Dad.. haven't done much of anything since moving, and now I've been sick for almost 3 weeks.. hopefully I'll have some videos up next week, or at least have everything made up.. gonna try to blow some stuff up..:)

Is the Samsung 25r an ICR, IMR, or other hybrid lithium cell? I'm thinking that's the best option. The vtc's are great batteries, have several. They do not handle 0.3-0.5ohm loads in extremely humid weather it seems. I've had a lot of hot batteries under these conditions.. and they seem to have degraded a great deal this past week, after ~5 months of cycling 6 cells- now 4. Edit- I know they can be pushed really hard, but isn't the discharged voltage lower than IMR cells or Li-ion? Tried a quick search, vape shops being the first listed state 2.5Volts.

But let's have a final decision on the highest capacity battery..

I think "we" figured out what the efest 20Amp 3100mAh..bogus..efest is so lame.. that guy talking about his vamped 40amp batteries is a little more lame though. EDIT- I'm talking about the guy that had them "made special"for him.. not whoever just mentioned them. Just in case. I already piss off enough people.

Sorry.. I'll stop babbling.. been sick and just got off work.:)

I need to order more batteries for my Cana , would this work.

Panasonic NCR18650B 3.7V 3400mAh Rechargeable Li-ion Batteries , i saw these on FT but they don't mention amp ratings or continuous on them but they are rated great , i just don't know if they are adequate for the Cana.

Is the 510 sealed? I haven't drilled out my magma airflow outlets yet, cuz I can't get enough teflon in the threading to seal it up..I only use my 4nine, so dangerous. I'd love to start using my magmas again..

How is the finish on the black magma, to whoever has one? I hate polished black, and that's what they look like.

I also ordered from fluid vapes on the 18th but since I'm on vacation I haven't been able to use it yet. I habe read that there is a first and second batch. If it can't disable the touch fire button and other users can then I better be able to return it for the second batch. Anyone have any thoughts on this? Could I return it for the new one?
