Imo if your getting it at a better price from Elev8 it's worth a try but if your not i would go with a vendor that has it in stock and ready to ship .

Good point. I do like the temptation of $79. One relevant question for the community will be if the 1 year warranty (a large selling point to me at least) will be voided from their elev8 purchase. That will effect a lot of buyers (at least according to the posts on this thread) and hopefully with this information just now coming to light P4Y will still honor it.

I sent them a msg on FB asking them if i'd get mine shipped this friday when they get their next/last shipment from P4U and this was their response.

"The remainder of our shipment was shipped out Monday from China. It will come in on either Thursday or Friday. Once they come in we will finish all the pre sale orders and have some extra in stock."

Well I guess my question is this, if I placed my order with elev8 today should I prepare to not receive anything? Second part is that if I remember correctly there was something in the manual about the 1yr warranty being good only if purchased from 'authorized dealers'.....will me purchasing from elev8 completely void that out with all this animosity going on? Granted - I can just put it on the CC and if there are any problems void the transaction. I emailed elev8 yesterday about purchasing one and they informed me that the shipment will be in thurs-fri of this week and should be at my door 'mid-next week', if that helps anyone.

If I was a new purchaser, I would put my money with another supplier who actually has some in stock. With all the rumours flying around right now, I think it's worth the extra $30 to be sure to get one in a timely fashion. Since I participated in the preorder and have already waited a month, I am waiting until Friday to see what happens. If there's another delay in shipping, I'll cancel my order and go elsewhere.

Another response from them on FB to me when pressed if they could 100% guarantee i'd have mine shipped by friday they responded with this:

"Can't 100 % guarantee it because DHL might not deliver on that given day, something could come up. However, they are in transit right now. Silver is coming first because they were shipped out in different shipments. Silver should be in tomorrow or Thursday. That I can 100 percent guarantee you."

I don't mean to be rude, but just make up your own minds, people (who are on the fence).

If you're on a very tight budget and can't afford the extra $30-40, then go ahead and order from elev8. But do consider the possibility that you may not get your order if they screw things up with their inventory.

An additional $30 for peace of mind, near-instant gratification, and the assurance of the 1 year warranty from the manufacturer, is worth it IMO.

I have tried calling elev8 all day today and only get the voicemail. I have $100 in gift cards I want to use to buy the IPV50. Does anyone know of ANY vendors that have the black one in stock now? I just wanna get this darn thing and I dont mind paying a little more as I only have a few mods and haven't gone the collector route ;)

Nothing wrong with that though, some of the collections I have seen are incredible. Vape on :vapor:

Hmm...perhaps a Mod should rename this thread into "Shopping FAQ for IPV V1+V2", cause this seems to be the main topic the last thirty, maybe fourty pages...
Many rumors, discussion, some questions again and again...

Don't wanna be rude, only think that the thread title isn't right any more... :)

Okay, we have opened a new thread now a few days ago, but in my opinion it had been better if there would be opened a thread "Purchase problems IPV V2" and copy the last let's say 30 pages into it, cause the first 70 pages of this thread here were really full of informations which now are splitted from the new thread.

I appreciate the kind words many of you have shared about the Q&A i did with P4Y.
Seems like it cleared up a few things. Glad i could be of help.
Sorry to elev8... I HAD to ask the question. :)
I'd like a reason, but...I would think the reason is that they were watching them do preorders, after the one preorder- that actually was a preorder, and not fulfilling them.. and really screwing customers.

I highly suggest elev8vape customers to contact p4u about this...raise hell about it, and maybe get your mods...or just get a refund.

Elev8vape failed many people twice in a row. They're out..begin lockdown protocols.

Elev8vape hasn't screwed anyone over. Elev8vape is the one being screwed over because they haven't been receiving their shipments as they were promised by P4Y.
The customers that have been getting upset with elev8 have no reason to be upset. Elev8 had the disclaimer from the beginning making all of you aware that it was a preorder. The people that haven't received their units yet have only themselves to blame, they were aware that the dates could change before they spent their money.

P4Y absolutely WILL be sending the units to elev8, otherwise they have to refund the money and in turn the customers would get a refund. The folks at elev8vape aren't thieves and they have never given reason for people to believe they are.

How about everyone stop this he said/she said bull .... and stop being so impatient. If you don't possess patience then you shouldn't have been part of a preorder!

Edit: By the way this post is directed towards everyone, not one person.

Sorry to side track from the vendor battle, but I figured out why I've been getting so many dry hits. Something was wrong with my coils that was causing the ohms reading to jump around, from .7 all the way to 3.3(which is weird, i thought the IPV2 could only go to 3). All I did was reposition the coil a tiny bit, ohms reading is steady and its hitting like a champ. This was happening with both my drippers for some reason, it happened a lot with my zmax, I assumed it was the mod but apparently its me. I think its from wrapping the legs around the post a certain way. Huge relief, I was starting to wonder if these high power devices really had any use.

How were you wrapping them?

I have an IGO L, and I would wrap the left post counter clockwise and the right clockwise, so when I tightened the screws it would push the coil together instead of spreading it apart, but I think since the legs leading to the coil were in between the posts, they came into contact with the posts again, not just where I screwed them down. Kinda hard to explain.
