Now that I think about it, that doesn't explain why the trident was jumping ohms. All I did as loosen the screws and it fixed the problem. Could the issue seriously have been just over tightening? For some reason I started tightening them down more, there's not much logic behind it, but I just tightened them down more because of the extra power haha, I don't know why I thought that was necessary.

LOL...sometimes when you don't cut the legs close enough to the post they come in contact with the post again and this seems to create this problem. Happened to me more than once
Its not actually the side you cut, its the side that leads to the actual coil. Its screwed down up top, but where it leads to the wrapped part of the coil it would be touching again lower down on the post, below the post screw. I think its from not holding it down when tightening the screw down, it wraps it around the post below the screw from the screw pulling it with it as it turns. So on the right post, the leg leading to the coil was touching the post below the screw. uploadfromtaptalk1407289519369.jpg

Update from Elev8

*Update @ 9:07PM EST 8/5: There has been a rumor going around that we will not be receiving the units. Silvers are going out tomorrow, blacks will be going out on either Friday or Saturday, depending on customs. We will post a picture of the shipment coming in tomorrow and on Friday. Please do not believe rumors that come from a representative that is NOT our representative. These representatives have buyers that have lost a lot of business because our price was so great, so now they would like to have people cancel on us. Just a reminder, you always have the freedom of asking for a refund if you can not wait or do not feel comfortable. We do NOT hold anyone to it and do refund orders when asked. Thank you.

*Update @ 4:16PM EST 8/5: The silver iPVs have passed customs and will be here tomorrow. Black is still going through customs.

Well, the tighter the connection, as long as it's not hurting conductor, the better the contact resistance. I get my stuff as tight as possible.

Some clones I've had will break wires if you get them past the minimum for good contact, but it can loosen up easily.
That's odd, loosening them must have just rearranged them slightly and stopped the ohm jump. Both drippers are hitting really well since I made those tiny adjustments. The IGO I'm pretty sure was from the post contact I'm talking about, not sure what was happening with the trident. Kinda stumped, not going to argue with the results though.
Edit: I was getting pretty discouraged and not really seeing the point of these high watt devices, but now I'm vaping the trident at 42 watts and the IGO at 32 without dry hits or overly hot vape. Definitely makes me feel better about dropping 110 dollars on a mod.

Good point. I do like the temptation of $79. One relevant question for the community will be if the 1 year warranty (a large selling point to me at least) will be voided from their elev8 purchase. That will effect a lot of buyers (at least according to the posts on this thread) and hopefully with this information just now coming to light P4Y will still honor it.

warranty is not voided for buying a cheaper product. those were rumors.

Elev8vape hasn't screwed anyone over. Elev8vape is the one being screwed over because they haven't been receiving their shipments as they were promised by P4Y.
The customers that have been getting upset with elev8 have no reason to be upset. Elev8 had the disclaimer from the beginning making all of you aware that it was a preorder. The people that haven't received their units yet have only themselves to blame, they were aware that the dates could change before they spent their money.

P4Y absolutely WILL be sending the units to elev8, otherwise they have to refund the money and in turn the customers would get a refund. The folks at elev8vape aren't thieves and they have never given reason for people to believe they are.

How about everyone stop this he said/she said bull .... and stop being so impatient. If you don't possess patience then you shouldn't have been part of a preorder!

Edit: By the way this post is directed towards everyone, not one person.

LMAO bud kiss just got put on blast that is so sad you can't sell your stuff because another site has a better price so you start rumors who ever was supporting elev8 you keep on doing so cause I also have had top notch customer service with them as well and I feel like they deserve recognition

Very well put you two :toast:

Does anyone think we could add our own battery carriage and re-wire it to accommodate 2x18650's?
Everything with this mod seems absolutely perfect other than the limit of battery life :|

I seen somewhere someone take one apart. The left of the battery was completely empty but about 5mm short of being able to fit two batteries. Could fit a nice lipo in there probably

To this moment all only rumors in my eyes. Nobody really knows who speaks the truth...but next days will tell us...
