I'm not sure when the vaping Walrus is going to have them in stock, but they've got some stuff up on their site that one could check into.

I got mine from All For Yummy Vapor and the build quality has been great so far. When the boxes first started arriving and showing up on U.S. vendor sites, YV4A posted that the first batch they received had some problems and they apologized but would not be sending that batch out and was waiting for replacements. A couple days later I got an email that it shipped.

Everything is good so far, all features work, it's got QC labels etc. However, they're in Israel. I bought mine from them because they had preorders available before there were any US sellers or even threads on the forums about it. I'd buy from them in a heartbeat but I know many of you don't want to wait on shipping from Israel. I've done a lot of business with the vaping Walrus and they've been some of the best customer service providers I've dealt with online. So if they aren't in stock yet you might want to shoot them an email to get some info. I don't want to post about probited subjects in here.

It seems IPV threads are carrying a curse of some sort. They erupt into fistfights and accusations over trivial matters. Although I was a bit offended by Herb's comment on one of my posts, I do respect the fact that he apologized for offending people. In this charged atmosphere it's hard not to offend, or get offended, by somebody's opinion of something.

I think... again this is JUST MY OPNION... that they are getting a shipment and maybe then being cut off by P4Y. (That way they can cover orders.)
What is confusing is that they seem to be still taking orders. Albeit they are now 109.00 and not 79.00

Of course all one would have to do is change the name and address of the person buying them to get around being blackballed
I suppose if you are dishonest in one way nothing stops you from being dishonest in another.

I am just glad P4Y helped clarify to clear my name so I can step out of this mess.

I'm glad they were willing to help clear up some of the confusion. I still believe that P4Y are having many communication issues amongst themselves. It makes little to no sense to allow them to sell items for lower prices for a short period, then retract their support. They said no more product would go to elev8, but it seems to still be shipping. I think they are handing out misinformation to customers as a way to garner more sales, but what do I know? I know I do not trust that they are being truthful at this point in time.

Ya I emailed them from a personal account, the first time they didn't reply they just canceled it without notifying me, so I'll let you know how it goes. I'm going to message them from my elev8 account also

If it's any help, people seem to be having a lot of problems emailing through the website contact info, but if they write an email directly to the email address without using the site's contact page, it goes right through and gets a prompt reply. I don't know if it's just that they are filtering the sites messages to a folder they can't catch up with, or the spam filter is catching a lot of legitimate email. Things may have changed, I just got back from vacation, but people were having much better results directly emailing the address given and getting a reply before I left. Good luck with everything.

Ya I got replies every time I emailed from my personal account (around 5 or 6 times), but never got a reply from the in site messaging system, so who knows. I had fairly quick replies every time I contacted them, other people had different experiences but I was happy with elev8s CS

Gotta say, I'm kinda disappointed with this forum, there have been a few people that have been extremely helpful to me with my beginner questions, and I appreciate that, but I was expecting more of a tolerant environment, it makes me reluctant to post questions when I see people getting bashed simply for disagreeing with someone. Its not just one person either, maybe I just joined at the wrong time in the wrong threads.

Sorry you happened to get in while things had sort of gone sideways. Were there any questions you had that got overlooked in all the chaos or didn't get answered, about the IPV2?

Imo it's unacceptable and very very unfair for P4U to say warranties will not be valid to those that bought through Elev8 , i mean they have a US based service center so i assume if an issue develops you just send it direct to the service center . Do you have to show a receipt and they check it and see you bought it through Elev8 and refuse it ?

This is really a tough position for P4U to take , they know full well that there are thousands of people who bought through Elev8 and they should honor the warranties .

Maybe they should say from this point forward if you buy from them we will not honor the after service part but thats a very unfortunate call on their part for those who already bought expecting to be covered.

On another note it's really not that big a deal if they stand by their non warranty stance , most electronic devices are reliable and with the quality on these you may never need service. It's not like your losing a lifetime warranty , just a year.

No, not that I asked, that was just me venting frustration. People have been really helpful for the most part.
The question I didn't ask because of that whole vendor thing was if there is any specific type of coil that works best for higher wattages, I've just been using standard micro coils but I know there are a lot of types out there, I'm just not that familiar with them.

worst thread ever.. I have a legit question and you guys are arguing about nonsense.

I am sorry, sometimes stuff happens and sometimes stuff explodes...this happens everywhere.

Unfortunately, this time it was throughout several threads and took me a few hours to clean it up.

Fortunately, this kind of thing does NOT happen often on ECF as we do NOT permit it.

If you see disruptive posts, please report them with the triangle at the bottom of the post, state your reason for reporting and staff will look at it.

Have a wonderful day !

From what I have seen you guys do a good job keeping things civil, much better than a lot of forums. I know its a hard job, it wasn't fair for me to criticize the whole site when the bickering is pretty isolated to IPV threads. As I stated previously, I was just frustrated at the time I posted that. I have gotten a lot of good advice and help in the week I've been here.

I'm trying to keep my resistance around 1ohm..I have a nice 0.6ohm dual coil with 26awg..~3.2mm ID in my origen.. I'll be keeping this build, but go crazy with it.

And I mean it. Go crazy.

There is nothing to worry about here, everyone that has purchased will have warranties.

In order for P4Y to deny warranties based on where you purchased from, they would have had to release an Authorized Retailer list BEFORE people purchased from retailers. They could deny warranties for units purchased in the future from certain retailers, but as far as I can tell this is all a bunch or false rumors going around.

Just because a certain person tells people they talked to P4Y and heard this and that, does not make it true at all! Until P4Y releases this information themselves then it is just rumors. Either way they would still have to honor the warranties for units purchased up until their announcement. Otherwise they would just be setting themselves up for all kinds legal ramifications.

Whaaat? How do you even do that? Is that 3 coils wrapped with 1 wire on each side?
Yep. 2mm ID 26awg..each coil is 6wraps..so really two coils with 18wraps. It was 1.02 Ohms..heat up time wasn't different from a normal coil.. surprisingly. I also don't pre-torch my wire..and I don't glow or fully compress my coils until they're on my mod..in the case of this type of build, the springy-ness of kanthal helps if something wraps. At least for me. Most people hate building with how springy and hard kanthal is pre-heated.

The original post with that picture+the vapor production of it is before the vendor thing got really heated. I kept trying to derail the argument with posts like this.:)

Haha that's awesome, I'm impressed. I really want a RDA that has a bigger build deck so I can try stuff like that, I don't know if I am good enough to build that on a Trident. Might be worth trying a single on the IGO, the posts are arranged really annoying though, not much room in between them and the edge. I'll give it a shot after work.

How do you wick it? One wick per side, or 3?
