one black one silver. they emailed and asked if they should send the silver now and the black later and i replied back to the email and asked if i could switch the black to silver and they said absolutely. 3 minutes later i had another email with a tracking number! this pre-order was quicker than the hana clone. totally satisfied with elev8's customer service! if you look at their blog on their web site they had updates about every 3 days or so after the original release date. cant ask for much more than that. plus i saved 60 bux!

Pbusardo's review.

I like that he also thinks it feels cheap. To all you naysayers.
Apparently he got a lemon, if this is the same guy we are talking about in the other thread, YouTube doesn't work on my phone. The gap, screws, glue, battery fit issues etc seem to be isolated to a beta batch from what I understand(could be wrong). My bad if its not the same one we are talking about.
I think the internals do look kinda cheap, but a bunch of wires is probably always going to look cheap. The back is thinner than I expected, but that doesn't really bother me, more of an observation. I think it overall "feels" like what you would expect for the money. Its certainly not a REO, which I've only used once, but was very impressed with.
I think this is high end function in a reasonably well built package. But I understand where you're coming from, the lightness is really the only thing that makes it feel cheap while your using it, but that's just because I'm used to a very heavy much.

Got some 3mm dia, 1.5mm thick, 0.18Kg pull - neodymium magnets to replace the screws on my IPV2.

Had to removed the threading and file down the screw recessions to allow the magnets to fir and sit flush, then used super glue to fix them in place. Works pretty well, but it can wobble if you press on the corners too hard. I'm going to hopefully put a magnetic strip in the middle to reduce the wobble.

I get through about 10ml of juice a day so I usually charge it every other day. I don't want to have to worry about battery when I'm out and about so its nice to be able to carry a spare and switch it on the fly :)

I watched the video and Pbusardo's PV isn't even close to the one I received.

My door lines up perfectly, the 510 connection is flush, there is no glue showing anywhere on my box and I don't plan on licking my touch sensor. My buttons are all smooth a clicky. The power (+.4) variance bothers me a little bit but wouldn't have stopped me from buying this PV. The touch sensor will never be turned on, not even sure why it was added to this PV.

This looks good. Would another magnet in the left upper corner reduce the wobble?

A guy from elev8 returned my call me last night and we talked for 20 minutes, very nice and gave me great info about the product. I am placing my order when they get the black ones in this weekend as he said they have more than just the pre-orders. I'll just buy the IPV3 when it comes out and sell this one. I am sure there will be buyers ;)

I too watched PBusardo video, it did not deter me from wanting this, especially for the price elev8 has it for.

Cant wait to get this thing next week, my mech just doesn't give me the clouds I want. :vapor:

Man, I wish you had made an instructional Youtube video...I definitely want to do this when I get mine. Great Job!

pbusardo is into dna big time either way so even if it was a decent product since he went to evolve he is now considering it a clone of the dna screen, even though in all honesty how many of those screen tons of other companies buy. I have a product from pioneer for you the seven30 and I'll admit I had some quality issues with it but I fixed everything myself they were easy fixes but quite annoying. The biggest one I had was the screw inside that adjusts it's a joke I hate to be like that but it was straight junk I found one that fit and it's been working great since.

The problem with getting another magnet in the corner is that there is no recession to place it in unless I drilled a hole in the metal (which might affect the touch sensor).

I'm going to see if I can find a thin enough magnetic strip (with enough pull) to place to the right of the battery (and on the lid).

A basis guide to how I done it would be

* Get four 3mmx1.5mm neodymium magnets, some super glue suitable for metal, a pair of needle nose pliers and a screwdriver with a rubber handle

* Remove the back plate and place face up on a piece of card.
* Squeeze a small amount of glue into the screw hole recessions and put the the magnets in, apply pressure for 20+ seconds to ensure it is in there firm.
* Clean the excess glue with a solvent

* Screw in the screws about half way into the threads on the mod and use a pliers to gently wiggled the thread bases out (they will come out eventually)
* Get a thin file and gentle file the top portion of the holes until they are the size of the magnet (must be a snug fit).
* Fill the holes with super glue and gently push the magnets in by pushing then tapping with something like the bottom end of a rubber handle screwdriver
* Clean excess glue with a solvent if you made a mess

:)

Hyuk. Got confirmation from elev8 that they have my IPV in hand and will mail it out to me on the 19th.

Mad stoked to pick it up from my mailbox. The perfect post-deployment vapemail.

ETA: to JSRP, what resistance and wattage are you vaping at? I'm actually amazed that your batt lasts that long given how much you vape

They have it in hand now but are going to wait until the 19th to mail it out? Is this because of your deployment, or are they just going to take that long to mail it to you?
