hi.

So I have been vaping for around six months with a MVP 3.0 30watt device. After having some problems with my Atlantis tank and feeling the need for more power, I went to see my local vape shop...after a long chat I ended up settling with a IPV D2 75W with the Herculeas tank.. Is this a decent mod? I can already notice the power. But I'm not sure am I able to crank it up to around 60W even if I'm only using a .6 coil? I have a .2 but want to use my standard one before swapping.

I've been told not to charge it using an iPhone charger. But I have no laptop therefore I have nowhere else to charge it?

Some advice please.

It comes with a charge cable in the box. IPhone charger does not fit anyways so I am a little lost what they told you. Use the cord it came with and the wall plug you use for your MVP. I just swap out batteries. Best to get a good charging dock and an extra battery. Then when you go out you can take extra battery with you. CHEERS!

What I mean is this. I have the charger which is a USB port one end and the bit that goes into the device the other end. When speaking to the guy in store he told me I am not able to plug the USB end into a normall wall charger, as the IPHONE wall charger bit uses far more power than the device can handle. So he told me to only charge it by plugging USB into laptop??

That can be correct and not saying he is wrong. But does he sell wall chargers for vaporizer systems? What do you use to charge your MVP3 ? Does it have a wall plug you can use? Vaporizers and Cell phone charge plugs do have different milliamp ratings. So the guy is right in what he says but he would sell the proper wall plug. Atleast every vape store I have been to they sell them. CHEERS!

the IPV should have current limiting charge circuit... in other words it will only pull as much power from the wall charger as needed.. but the best thing to do is to get a stand alone battery charger and an extra set of batteries ( if yours takes batteries instead of the built in type)... I have the IPV4 and do the separate charger with extra batteries... never liked the "charge the mod" option...

actually you should be able to use the USB on the computer ( tower, desktop, etc) but... there have been some instances of overloading the USB port while charging mods and doing a nasty number on the computer.... spend the 30$ and get a battery charger... alot cheaper than replacing a motherboard or a mod...

The current rating for the output of the wall adapter doesn't matter at all. The charging board in the mod will limit the current and voltage it sends to charge the battery, drawing no more than it needs. Using a wall adapter with too small an output current rating will only make the charge time longer, and will cause the wall adapter to be overloaded and fail quicker. Use a good 2 amp wall adapter in all cases.

Here is a Nice Hand Gun
Have a Nice Day

Seriously, Charging is simple enough. Plug cord into Mod Plug other end into a USB Wall adapter, any USB Wall adapter.
No USB Wall Adapter - Walmart or Any store that sells Cellphones, kids toys, electronics.

Dedicated Charger and extra batteries is the Best way by far.

* As For power - Just because it it there, does not mean you Have to use it.

BABY STEPS :D

Hell, I've been using the charging port on my D2 for 3 months now with no issues at all. Plug it up before I go to bed and it's ready to go when I wake up. Installed a new battery in it when I first got it, reinstalled the silicon sleeve and it's been working great... nothing wrong with the 3.5 millimeter round pin charging port on this mod[emoji106]

Agreed!
It is a Better(More Durable connection) and should last.
Onboard charging just doesn't work for me due to needing several swaps a day if Dripping:D
TC is another story, with decent battery life.

Hi Vapors!

I have just bought an IPV D2 and I absolutely love the power I get when compared to my MVP 30watt.

Im using the herkales tank but have two questions:

1) Can anyone reccomend a decent drip tip and RDA to go on the D2??? interested in getting into dripping so bad!

2) I need help with flavour. I love fruity creamy flavours, but I want a brand who I can buy a large bottle from, thus not having to change juices all the time and I can take a large bottle out.

Thanks guys look forward to chatting.

Kyle.

I know a lot of people have been into One Hit Wonder Liquids, they come in larger 180ml (maybe 130ml) bottles for around $60. Fruity and creamy would be their Milk Man flavor. Personally my daily vape is The Milk from Teleos. I use a Kennedy 24RDA and have had no problems with it at all. Also I did my first build on it and it worked very well for my lack of experience.

1) as with everything in vaping it is mostly a matter of personal preferences.
Any 510 threaded RDA will work on your power device.
Ask 10 people what's the best RDA and you'll receive 12 different answers.
Might try here ---> http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/forums/rda.886/

2) taste is so very personal what one or several claim as the best juice ever you may hate, it is all a matter of personal preferences.
Ask 10 people to name the best fruity creamy flavors you'll end up with 17 different answers.
This area may help ---> http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/forums/general-e-liquid-discussion.406/

Any RDA will work on that mod. It's all about how you build your coils to meet the power available. There is a great deal of safety info you need to read up on before you start building though. There are 2 guys here "Baditude" & "Mooch". They have all that info in their blogs. You should start by learning about Ohm's Law and how it applies to the limits of what you can safely build with the batteries we use for vaping.

The Velocity RDA is my favorite. The 2 post design is super easy to build on, can put lots of different size coils in there, good flavor and lots of clouds. My go-to e liquid right now is Milk of the Poppy by Blue Dot Vapors - 100ml for $16.99. Super super delicious custard and fruit that gets better and better as it steeps.
