So I'm currently debating whether to get a pioneer4you IPV D2 75 watt or a sigelei 75 watt temp control mod.
I am mainly looking(this list goes from absolute most important to slightly less important) for something that will last a year or two(as durable as possible), accomodate as many rda's, rta's, tanks, accesories, juices, etc as possible, and have the least amount of reported problems and be the most customizable(at the very least as far as looks go. I love DIY stuff."

I dont care much about temp control right now but would like the option in the future and both these have this. They are both similarly priced so that cost isnt an issue. I am most worried about the screen possibly breaking or something just randomly breaking the day i get it(which has happened to me entirely too many times with vape gear.)

Whichever one i get is going to be authentic(most likely getting it from vapor dna since they seem well known and have decent prices. stop me now if you have seen clones of these sold as original from vapor dna)

So what are your thoughts, oppinions, and experiences with either of these(preferably both)? What did you like and dislike most? and anything else you would like to share

Thanks guys i look forward to reading your responses(and sorry if i dont respond right away, its one am and im exhausted but I will respond asap tomorow if i pass out)

I have the D2 and it is a amazing little device with a great board in it. The D2 is very small, comfortable to hold and the buttons are very nice. The internals are great, even under the hood everything is very cleanly done. You cant go wrong with a Yihi board, and this one has a charger installed on the board itself by Yihi. Its a all around win.

Here is the D2 thread here on ECF-- IPV D2 announced. | Page 77 | E-Cigarette Forum

And here is a good comparison video of the D2 and the Segelei 75w--

Thanks rhelton. You are one fast typing ....(teach me your magic mister genie man). That was dam quick and very informative to boot. So its a passthrough charger? Cool feature and though I dont need one atm, I will most likely make use of it in the future(it is a huge plus in case I forget to charge my second battery. Likely to happen, my memory sucks quite a bit).
Have you ever had a problem with the battery cover slipping off? Iv heard of this happening with other similar box mods from the same brand.
Also how is it as far as durability? Have you had any problems with it yet? and if so were they easy fixes? Have you dropped it at all? (I'm quite clumsy and will probably drop it at some point)

I do like the aesthetics of it and how small it is happens to be a huge plus for me as well

also sigelei seems like the apple(as in makers of the iPhone) of the vaping world and though many people seem to like it, I feel its hard to distinguish biased reviews from truely impartial/unbiased reviews in the internet realm of vaping

Has this already been released yet? i cant seem to find it for sale anywhere?

Edit-nevermind i found it. My one last question is does the ipv d2 have a built in ohm reader? I was gonna buy one with it but if the mod has a built in ohm reader that works it seems like a waste of money

Hey man the D2 does nickel AND titanium. This is what you want for the future. Yihi makes the best boards on the market today, I would not waste my money on the segelei. It was released and its outdated already as it only does kanthal and nickel. The ohm readers on the Yihi boards are very accurate. And it is fully protected.

Yea Im definitely going with the d2, I think it looks better anyway and I hate carrying around a mod thats bigger than it needs to be.

And thanks for the suggestion Hans but I'v already got a 40 watt mod so I cant really justify dropping another $55 for 10 watts. Plus Im not really a huge fan of the aesthetics of it.
Im eventually getting a reo for that reason, I just don't want to spend $200 on a mod right now

what does the d2 usually come with? Iv seen the different colored skins they make for it which I really like for the thought of for changing the look every so often

There really is no Vs.

Both Mods are decent so it very much boils down to Pricing and personal choice.

D2 Starting price was good and I trust the Yihi Production Boards so I chose the D2
Sigelei Boards are still controversial as to manufacturer as are most China Regulated releases. Sigelei does do quality metal work and I own several of their Mechanical Mods.

*Ohm Meter - Compact unit, independent second source for build conformation. Handy for building as a Atomizer holder and final test read before wetting and testing on the mod.
Always recommended as an inexpensive build Tool.

I mean if the d2's has short circuit protection i just feel like it may be a waste of money. The most accurate ohm meter(reader, meter, whatever) on the website I'm buying from says its basic accuracy is 0.15 ohms (which im assuming is its margin of error) which seems fairly inaccurate anyway and its an extra $16. Plus I can go to my local shop and use theirs anytime
Dont get me wrong, I am planning on getting one. I just don't have a ton of money atm

Kind of ironic that the thing that sigelei does well is something alot of american companies are known for doing well anyway(idk if its like that in the vaping world, I'm just speaking in general here)
Actually now that I'm thinking of it, are there any american made vape companies that aren't fairly expensive? just wondering for future reference

I don't really see the benefit of a separate ohm meter anymore. Any VV/VW/TC mod can read the resistance of your coil.
Just be sure your battery can handle the current.

After a lot of research I bit the bullet and purchased both the IPV D2 and the 4S (the smaller for travel and the 4S for use at home). I also purchased an Indulgence Mutation X V4 RDA, a SMOK TFV4 Sub Ohm Tank Full Kit and the Uwell Crown Sub OhmStainless Tank. I also have some titanium wire on order (my serious case of shineyitis has been partially satisfied) I've been using the Uwell Crown with the installed 0.25 ohm coil since I unwrapped everything last night on both devices. No problems yet...and oh my what fun I've been having. I have a stash of Mt. Baker Hawk Sauce and Cotton Candy but right now I'm vaping Backwoods Brew Casablanca. I'm traveling overseas next week and I'll post again when I get back.
