So ive been reading a lot of threads and thoughts on these - speculation, excitment, anticipation, negative/positive thoughts. As with all new or newer product releases we see all ranges of input!

Ive personaly placed a pre-order on a black ipv V2 50W - as i feel the YiHi 330 v2 chip is going to kick ....! Considering that the firmware will be upgradable, i dont mind purchasing the prerelease first batch of these. Im just hoping all of the hardware on the unit will be up to par. I have some conscerns with the touch print fire lock on the top of the unit failing over time, but over all the product looks sweet!

I chose this pre-order over a Cana Mod purchase, as i feel the Canas still have bugs and it seems they are sorting them out rather quickly. Ill pick one of those bad boys up once things have finally settled in final production phases.

Anyways, just wanted some more thoughts, purchasing links, know about, and speculation or insight on the up and coming Greanleaf/pioneer4you IPV 35/50W units.

Chat, chat - hope you all had a wonderful 4th of July!!

It looks pretty darn nice. I'm with you in that I ditched the idea of getting a Cana mod for this for a number of reasons.

I don't think the SX330 has upgradeable firmware, that's only on YiHi's SX350 and maybe some other models. We shouldn't be worried about the chips on these as YiHi is already a well established company - it's just Pioneer4You putting the chip in a box and soldering some connections really.

Pioneer4you is also well established and have recently released the Seven-22 and Seven-30 mods which got great reviews, so as long as they do that well with this mod we should be completely fine.

I know these are being advertised as having the touch sensitive button on release, but I don't know if that will be the case, and I don't know how I feel about it. I too think that it might fail over time and might be a little wasteful of resources but it might be a fun feature.

The box didn't appeal to me much at first but it's growing on me the more times I neurotically go back and look at those pics.

Elev8 has colors up for option which is exciting. I want colors on release but I don't think we are gonna see that as I spoke with a rep from P4you and he said they'll be coming at the end of the month.

It is my understanding that the IPV 50 watt box mod uses the YiHi SX330 v2 chip which doesn't appear to be user upgradeable according to the YiHi site.
YiHiEcigar SX330 V2 50W New Vapor Chip
15 Software Upgrate/GUI operate NO

Yihiecigar SX350
I think that the only user upgradeable chip that YiHi sells is the SX350 which I haven't seen yet in any high volume production mods. The mods I have seen using the SX350 chip have mostly been around $200+.
20 Software Upgrate/GUI operate YES

There is some more discussion in this thread, IPV 35w and 50w box mods.

Awesome, thank you for the correction anf set of links! This is exact nature of why i wanted to run a thread on these beasts.

And crackin me up with the neurotic comment lmao, i do the same thing! Im dying to receive it! I really like the box, i wish they would have kept the fair lady for final production. Just maybe cleaned up the etching a bit or whatever... Definitely not going to keep me away from it without her though.

The iPV 50w is a complete mod that includes the YiHi SX330 v2 chip. They are available for preorder on elev8vape.

You can get the YiHi SX350 chip at Varitube. New shipments will likely be updated to 50 watts with an 80 watt upgrade likely coming fairly soon. Varitube has an SX350 supplier thread with many helpful tips if you wish to build your own mod, The YiHi SX350 35W Chip at Varitube. There are also a couple of SX350 threads in the ECF Modders Forum.

To good to pass up so banged a pre order a few days back especially comparing the price of the canas;)

Has anyone noticed given the huge current draw on my SX350s @ 50W YiHi quote 25A the SX330 V2 20A at the same wattage?

Anyone worried about the touch fire switch i'm on a boat alot of the time so not sure if it gets moisture on it I expect it may not work?

you can check but i don't believe they are going to have a touch sensor on the top for the 50 watt version. why would you want one anyway? any little thing in your pocket would set it off. if you have to lock/unlock every time you pull it out to vape then why bother?. like i said, it is my understanding that while it shows this in the owners manual it isn't going to be on the first run. have the vendor check with the distributor...mine said it wasn't on theirs....thankfully

The "fire switch" youre thinking of is actually the mods locking feature. Similar to a fire lock on a mechanical mod - accept this is a touch sensor version. We will see how it all plays out lol.

Ah ok thanks for the reply just read your post 80W!!! its going to get really tough designing SX mods so as the wattage increases so does the loss due to ineffiency. At 80W its going to pull 30-35A! There goes the wiring, PTCs and already complaints about batteries as that only really leaves the select few 35A+ 18650s and 26650s unless you go parallel or lipo packs.

When i got my 1st SX350 mod at the end of April it was 30W 10-12A it doubled with the 50W upgrade and now we are possibly ooking at 300% from its inital release its insane regulated vaping was never like this design wise its a nightmare.

I'm guessing you are talking about the button on the top.

There is a little info in this video iPV 2 50 watt box mod, uploaded Jun 23, 2014 by pioneer4you. He starts pointing to the pressure sensitive button at !:48 but I can't figure out what he is saying. Starting at :20 in it doesn't look like there are screws on the back. It would be nice to be able to change batteries without needing a screwdriver.

At 1:37 in it sounds like he is saying something about the pressure sensitive button accessing the screen? in this video also uploaded Jun 23, 2014, iPV v2 50watt Box mod From Green Leaf Technology. At :19 in in you can see the hinge for the back door but not the other side where the catch? or screw(s)? would be.

It's also probably worth noting that those are probably preproduction mods in the videos and what actually ships might be different.

This is straight from my rep at Greenleaf, the manufacturer:
The 50w DOES have the touch sensor, but the 35w wont.

The IPV2 have some other colors, but I suggest you trying the other colors later, because it has large MOQ, you can just order black and silver like your first inquiry said, 30 black and 20 silver. And when other customers order a lot of other colors, its MQ low down, I will tell you to try.OK?

Our IPV2 have both a tact switch fire button and the touch sensor, and the touch sensor button can be locked by our chip, so you also don't worry about if juice got spilled on it.

About the girl drawing, you are lucky, because a lot of our customers' feedback told us they don't like the girl on IPV2, we have removed it.

i ordered my iPV2 from vapecompany. Cost is 105 but free shipping.
They will receive their shipment on the 18th and i should get mine a few days later (fingers crossed).

This will be my first box mod. Decided to go with something advanced (so i don't turn around and want to upgrade in a couple months). Didn't realize how addictive buying new vape stuff could be.

I also bought two rebuildable tanks... a Fogger 4.4 and a Kaiser. Gonna try my hand at a DIY setup. Wish me luck.
Stepping up from a Vamo v5 with Kanger mega at 1.5 to this new box mod and (hopefully) sub ohm build.

Stalking the mailbox in eager anticipation. :)

Unlike your VAMO the IPV only has the capability to boost power, not to step it down (uses a buck circuit). Regulated power for your Kanger Mega with a 1.5Ω head will be in the range of 12—48 watts of regulated power. With some juices 12 watts could be quite high for any clearomizer so you might want to try the 2.0Ω heads which will give you 9—31 watts of regulated power.

Unlike a mechanical, a boosted 50 watt regulated device does not require you to build at extremely low oHms to get a high watt vape. The electronics in the device boost the power coming from the battery. A 1.4Ω build on the IPV 50 watt will get you 8–50 watts of regulated power.

I made a spreadsheet to show the ranges of builds one can use to stay within the regulated parameters of the SX330 V2 chip used in the IPV 50 watt.

my iPV2 is supposedly on the way. Yahoo. Obsessing and stalking the mailbox.

BTW... I am in communication with two WRAP companies JWRAPS and VAPORSKINZ about a custom wrap for this new mod.
They are both working on it. The more inquries direct to them the better. Thanks for shooting them a plea.
