(2 attys garbage because a possibility of the darn ipv2 :facepalm:) getting an vaporshark rdna 40w soon. at least they have diagnostics and can repair the device for a price. they only atty working is my kayfun clone but gives me a burnt taste after the 7-8th hit. do you have an ohms meter? and have you checked the ohms of your coil/mod BEFORE testing them?
yea I got one it would show like a 0.7 or 0.8 ohms. id be like right my efest ohm reader is a piece of trash then the ipv2 would show 0.3 ohms like its suppose to be because the coils I wrap should be 0.2 to 0.5 ohms not 0.8 ohms

Higher resistance than you're anticipating is usually a sign that you need to tighten the post screws.

Also, if the wire isn't pressed fully against the posts, it's conceivable that the current would "arc", or hop a short distance from post to wire, which would explain the sparkle (really, spark) that you're seeing.

Reading through this, and your other thread, I'm going to make an honest suggestion.

Slow down.

This stuff is not rocket science, but it does take a bit of knowledge, a bit of patience, and a lot of practice. At this point, you don't have a lot of any of these, so please slow down.

The issues you are describing are 9 times out of 10 a result of your builds. Your coils shouldn't short and break. You have wicking problems in your orchid.

The good news, is that you CAN get there. Tear out those bad builds, take a deep breath, and slowly and methodically rebuild them. YouTube is your friend, as is the forum.

Good luck, and be safe!!
