I looked on FT and they are all discontinued or sold out. So these aren't being made anymore?

Honestly it's been a few years since I was into my gennys, so not sure on what's around today. I would tend to believe that because not to many are still doing it, places like FT don't do them. I think most genny tanks are high end and are sold by smaller modders and are expensive because not to many are sold. I see alot being sold on modtrader or other FB resale places and do see them pop up in the classifieds here on ecf

The rsst was probably one of the better, lower end gennys produced, so try searching for that

Then most likely the only ones available now would be the hi end FB group buys or resales. How about the Origen genny, as I recall, this might have been the latest genny I remember on the market

Have you guys tried out Ready X Wick?
I tried those a few years back and they were pretty good, they reminded me a little like silica in which you could dry burn the wick itself . The issue I was having was threading that stuff through my coil. It was kind of a pain because when you cut it, the ends freyed and opened. I think like silica, you had to wrap the coil around the wick which is old school and really not done anymire

Awesome! I use to love the whole genny thing, it was an awesome vape. Yes it's a bit of a learning curve but when it's running just right, it does produce an awesome vape. Back when I first started vaping 6 to 7 years ago, gennys were the only rebuildable tanks because cotton was just not used. Yes there was cotton in cartomizers but no one rebuilt those. Basically you need 400 or 500 mesh and 28g wire. I use to make solid wicks with 500 mesh and just a tiny hole in the middle always had great results. You can also do more straw like wicks with bigger holes. Then you can either oxidize the mesh first then wrap the coil around or do the Peter k method

Yes recently brought one of my mm vapors did20 back into rotation, these pictures of sizing and fitting wick on a old gripper back in 2012 dated pictures.
Other picture testing it.
Seasoned over stove top then off to the races making sure no hot spots at either end.
Also these never leak what so ever , once in a while i have to clean mesh and use fresh wire and in process i pull long center pin out too make sure it stays clean and dry.

Have 4 of these and nice to keep around especially with possible regulations that are looming as im a DIY for e-liquid and have put together some small box mods in the past.

Loved my DID'S but never seen one with a clear glass section or maybe I have and forgot. They were a great genny for sure and definitely brings back early memories of rebuilding. What I don't miss is being in public with my old gennies and mechs and being looked at as if I was smoking crack or something. I once was vaping in my truck with that set up and was noticed by a small kid in the car next to me, his mother noticed her child looking at me, then looked at what I was doing and gave me a look of disgust and made the child look away. I felt like a drug addict and for the next couple years had a complex about it, at the same time trying not to let people see me vape. Now I bet that very same kid is in a cloud competition
