Is battery technology eventually going to advance...

...far enough that we can have something the size of a 510, but with decent battery life? I love my ego and it looks okay, but I just think the 510 looks more discreet and... classier. Hollywood has spent a century making cigarettes look cool to us, and it worked damnit! Engineers are making smaller batteries all the time, right? I can hope.

I guess I could just get some 510 batts for when I want to look extra good while vaping, but changing batteries several times a day seems like a serious PITA.

ps. Can an eGo charger charge a 510 batt safely? I have read conflicting things about this.

The USB rapid charger, designed for the eGo-type will destroy a 510 battery.
Or so I've read on more than one supplier's web sites.
If you care to do an experiment, let us know the results!

And, FWIW, RE: the eGo. I was showing off some PVs to a small group of ladies at work.
I held out my hand with 4 or 5 different models, including a couple pricey ones ...
they unanimously picked the eGo with Cone as their favorite, based on appearance alone.

I think it WAY outclasses an ordinary 510. JMHO ... and the ladies at work too.

There is a link in there to another thread with some hopeful news for the future. I agree with you. I want great performance, but I still would like to have a smaller model like the 510. I actually would love to have a long one like the mega 510 batt and xl carto, but a little longer. Picture Hunter S Thompson.

Also, don't use your eGo charger on the regular 510 batt. If you want quicker, it is just as easy to pick up a multicharger. I have a 10 port that I use to charge my regular 510 batts, and it works great.

That's exactly what I was looking for, freakystylie! Good to know the scientists are on it, as usual. With the rise of smartphones and laptops there must be tons of money being pumped into this research.

oh and it seems to me the 510 mega batts look pretty Hunter-esque already, but I see what you're going for! I don't think I could pull off the look though, it's a thin line between Hunter S. Thompson and Audrey Hepburn. I may have to just get a bunch of regular 510s and a PCC til this battery research comes through.

edit: As far as the eGo's looks go, maybe it's a colour problem. I got the titanium one because I thought it would give off more of a cigar vibe and less of a pen vibe. Maybe I'm just getting sick of the colour, but I'm wishing I got something else... copper, black, white, silver, red, something.
