hey guys,

This is my first carto ever. I started it one week ago today.

The draw is just fine however the flavor is almost non existent unless I add more juice and then I get a good 7-10 puffs with flavor then back to less flavor.

Vapor production is just fine though...

Is this when you know its time for a new one?

Thanks!

    I take it that you are using a Filler-Type Carto...

    Yes, it's time for a New One. Filler Cartos many times don't stop making vapor. The just fade off until there is No Flavor and Not Much Vapor.

    You can try to clean it but to me that is kinda a hassle. If you got a week out of it your doing good in my book.

    ...a cartos life(1.7 ohm smoktech, the Resurrector...vaping 4+ml daily)...DAY1, hit is kinda airy, good TH,F,V...DAY2-3, the draw has tightened just a bit, Flavor and Vapor are at their peak...these are the "golden" daze...DAY 4, draw has tightened a bit more, vapor still great, flavor starting to fall off...DAYay5, draw continues to tighten(still not bad)...vapor continues to produce but taste is getting very hard to keep up...Day6...I dunno, I just started a new carto, they're cheap and why should I deny myself the pleasure of a new one, I have 60 on the shelf afterall.............

    weird i have some cartos that i been using and cleaning for over a month. just to test out this i opened a new one on christmas, and guess what. exactly same vapot, th, etc as my month old ones. IMO just clean them regularly. unless thick liquid is being used, seem to not be able to get it out, lol.

    Seems different folks get different mileage from cartos. Some only a couple days others several weeks. Guess it's all in what you expect from them. I'm only on my second set of cartos, first ones lasting a several weeks before they got clogged up and hard to draw on. I've since cleaned these but haven't gotten around to trying them out yet.

    If they're still hard to draw on I'll just toss them.

    Oh, I have 4 filled, each with a different flavor and on their own battery. That way I'm not changing them out all day but grabbing a different one when I want a different flavor.

    Thats a pretty good idea man... keep a whole setup ready to roll, much better than carrying parts like I do :)

    I picked up 6 ego 1100 mAh knock-offs from someplace in China (or Singapore) for something like $8 a piece. Can't find the place right now but I'll look for it and post if I find it. They don't have the 5 clicks to turn on and off but have been working well for the last couple weeks.

    Found the place but I guess they were on sale. Now they're more expensive.

    I did find another place that has them for less then $9;

    ...how much juice didja vape...what was the VG level...the juice I vape is 60-85%VG and probably of medium sweetness...if I went solely on the tightness of the draw, I could get upto a couple of weeks from one...However, after 20ml+ the taste starts getting off and I have to keep topped up to get the best flav...if I don't keep them topped every 1/2hour, the taste starts getting kinda MEH...I used to try and stretch them for as long as possible and then figured...WHY...I was spending 10bux+ a day for the funkies, I could certainly spend a buck thirty-five every 5 days for a nice fresh carto...I did try cleaning them at first...had mixed success, none performed like new and 50% of them just didn't take to a cleaning at all so, why bother...I do clean and keep a couple of boxes around for emergency purposes...to each their own, said the man, as he kissed the cow!!!!!!

    I certainly don't vape heavily, maybe 2ml/day but high nicotine levels. And VG is low, probably 20%. Split that up over 4 carto's and it's like 20ml per before tossing in hot water for cleaning. I've only been at this for about a month so I'm not energetic about tossing cartos. They all were working, just a tight draw. Probably haven't gotten all my taste buds back yet so I seldom notice a loss of flavor. Worst is a slightly burnt taste on caramel tobacco if I draw to long. That flavor is being tried on a tank to see if it stops showing up.
