Is everyone addicted to sugar? Can I get some "flavor" that isn't sugar-laden?

It seems that 95% of juice is sweet. I don't use sugar so I'm not used to it. I've just taste tested so much stuff of my own and of friends, and even swaps I do here......and everything is so durn sweet.

(I eat fresh string beans and put nothing on them. why would i want to cover up their beautiful taste?) Paired with a gorgeous lamb chop, I was over-the-moon in flavor.

Yet, everyone tells me I eat "funny", while they melt cheese onto their string beans then cover them with salt. :)

So, can anyone recommend something for a *person like me* with a very clear palate? And I don't mean the opposite of sweet, i.e. sour. I mean a juice with complex flavor, that doesn't need sickening sugar taste of icing, donut, cake, candy, splenda, soda pop, etc. in it?

I hope I am explaining right I couldn't be the only person like this. :) Last sat. morning I had a yard egg (from neighbor's chicken) and a nice piece of homemade whole grain bread (no sugar, checmicals) and it was great. No ketchup on my eggs, no butter on my bread....they were both too good to cover up! If I go out for breakfast I get toast that is sopping wet with butter....or a piece of the "popular" cornbread that tastes almost like a Twinkie it's got so much sugar in it.

Please, help me find some juice. Getting discouraged. Maybe I need to ask the DIY people about the flavorings, maybe they are all so sweet?

Heylo. I don't have any juices to recommend unfortunately, but I have a bit of an answer. It's the bases, and somewhat unavoidable.

(From wiki)
Propylene Glycol:
colorless, nearly odorless, clear, viscous liquid with a faintly sweet taste
Vegetable Glycerine:
Glycerol is sweet-tasting

I've read here than VG is sweeter than PG, but it seems you'll be getting a sweetness no matter how you cut it. Some vendors will add a touch of sucralose to their juices. Before ordering send an email and find out what else has been added, if anything. You may be able to request a batch without it (if they do add).

A bit of a segway, but I USED to eat a lot more sweets till I started vaping. Big tubs of gummy and other things a dentist loves.

And your eating habits are something I enjoy too, though personally I spice my food when cooking...garlic om nom nom nom. Think I'll get beans tonight. Only sugar I cook with is when baking and in my coffee. I have noticed that further south of the border food gets sweeter. It's anecdotal, but my wife and I both noticed it when we went down to AZ.

I vape mostly tobacco flavored juices, but lots of them are plain and unsweetened. You might like Halo Torque56 and Prime 15. Both of those have very little in the way of undertones and remind me more of an unflavored tobacco cigarette than virtually anything I've vaped. Dekang Desert Ship is kind of like those, also.

Plain PG or VG, as someone said, might appeal to you. Many say it's like a cigarette with few additives in taste. We all came to vaping from cigs and not all of us find a need for sweetness in our vape.

If you want something that really resembles smoking analogs, I tend towards some of the different 555 or similar blends to really kick the cravings. 555's are generally not sweet blends at all- most that I've tried are great for when you feel like smoking, not eating a pineapple or a caramel chew... ;)

My favorites have been the ones from Nhaler, dekang, and TW, which markets theirs under a different name (although I've stopped supporting them as of late). I just received a sampler from Halo and am vaping their prime15 juice today, and so far it is very similar in taste to 555-but not exactly like it. You may want to check out some of the tobbaco-type offerings from Halo, as many of them are not sweet or food-flavored at all...

The most important thing is to look at it as an adventure, not a chore- after 3 years of vaping, I still haven't tried but a tiny fraction of the flavors out there...and I'm sure there are many more I will come to LOVE in the future :)

I would love to know where you recommend going to try these types of flavors- that's something I've never attempted to try...

MMMMMMMmmmm, Bacon..... :D

When I started 2 months ago I saw them on a few vendors sites, all on clearance (along with beer). I'm not sure where to get them preemixed now, but I know from browsing Capellas shop they have bacon, easy enough to whip up a single flavour batch.
