Is it me or are e-cig users more intelligent?

I don't mean to say it for ego boosting, i just notice with a lot of members they seem more self aware and just in general more intelligent than the average person... Anyone else notice what i mean?

Just look at topics and posts compared to other forums... The way most of them are neatly written out. When you go to a e-cig review you get a in depth well structured talk most of the time, while recently i was buying headphones and the average review is... well not.

Edit: i just thought, the average age for users is a lot higher making a more mature community. Could explain a lot.

Hm, inte...wha ? ;)

That's that we got the SETI-project for: Search for Extra-Terrasitrial Intelligence.
Thay have their reasons, guess one of 'em is that they didn't find such thing on this 'ere planet ;)

Joshing aside, not necessarily more intelligent.
But more skeptical. Willing to look into matters of interest more closely and not falling for the sponsored BS - no matter how hard special interest groups are trying to shove it down one's throat....

It seems we have a higher population of geeks than other groups. Don't get me wrong though, I consider "geek" a complimentary term but that may be because I am one. :D

I think what draws us (or keeps us vaping in proportional numbers after we start) is our compulsion with gadgets. "OOOOOHH A SHINY! Must acquire! Must collect them all!" :w00t:

I smoked for over 10 years and only started vaping exclusively last August. I don't feel any more intelligent than I used to, and do not see those that continue to smoke as less intelligent than myself.

In fact, as much as I enjoy vaping, I still love tobacco and miss smoking. I would love to just light up a full flavored menthol cigarette right now.

So if we're that smart, how come we all smoked for 20+ years?

Because nicotine is a mental stimulant? That's what I'm going with anyway. Intelligence never did matter when it comes to addictive things.

I can believe that those who have turned this into a hobby are more intelligent. Look at everything someone needs to learn to get into this. Ohms law, the best batteries and why, the pros and cons to various chips in regulated devices, why different toppers may be leaking and how to fix them. Which are better for that matter and why? Look at the engineering that went into something like the Kayfun, and look at how many people here can truly appreciate it. It's easy to see how vaping as a hobby could draw in those who are more technically inclined. Even those who came without an inkling of technology, had to learn if they wanted a good vape. Those starter kits? They aren't easy to deal with. I was troubleshooting issues within the first few hours on mine. That's where those without the gumption to learn go back to cigarettes.
