Is it me or is 24mg ejuice just too much nicotine?

Emptied a few cartomizers that came with my KR808D-1 kit and decided to refill them. The 10ml bottle that came with it is 'Marlboro' 24mg. Yikes... way too strong. Good vapor but it leaves my mouth with a slight burning sensation.

The original carts that came with it were 16mg 'Camel - Desert Ship' which seems just right.

Since I don't have any experience with other 24mg ejuice I'm wondering if it's just this particular ejuice or is all 24mg is like this?

you know, all ive vaped is HIGH-nicotine and i was thinking that it tasted like it had too much nicotine, but now i think i just might have an allergy to propylene glycol(PG), but i will give u an update ASAP. bank has been screwing up lately so im behind on a couple of purchases.

it might just be the PG, you could try VG( vegetable glycerin) i hear it has less aftertaste.

As a former smoker of 3/4 pack of Benson & Hedges a day first, then generics after the price shot way up there, I started out w/24mg as my vaping strength. I got headaches for about 5 days. I'm not sure if it was the withdrawal or starting at too high of a mg. I have since weaned myself down to 16mg, but one thing remains -- if I get juice in my mouth, I immediately wipe my mouth out, but the inside of my bottom lip stings and swells. I believe it to be the nicotine in my mouth instead of the PG since I used to vape VG only and don't remember that stinging and swelling w/the VG.

Looks like 16mg or lower is going to do the trick for me. Ordered a good amount of 16mg cartomizers in various flavors to figure out what I'm going to like best. After that I'll probably start purchasing primarily eliquid since it seems like the cheapest route.

At first drip tips sounded like a huge, messy, tedious process but I'm starting to think it might be the way to go after refilling a few cartomizers and already burning one up (now that is nasty).

You can always go to Tasty Vapor. Geoff will make your eLiquid any mg you want it. Also order a doubler. A doubler is 0mg but in the very same flavor your eJuice is in so when you start cutting back on your mg or if you just want to just experiment w/diff. mg strengths, the doubler won't dilute the flavor of the juice. There's a special every Friday on one juice (lately it's been 3, 4 or 5, though) -- 30ml for only $10. The doubler is $15, but it will outlast your juice. His customer support and most of his juices are highly favored by the ECF community.

I'm only guessing here, but by the looking at the amount of posts you've made and your join date, you shouldn't be burning up any cartos yet. If you ordered prefilled cartos, you're supposed to refill them when they get low, and also, you have to treat them like a regular atty and blow them out at the end of every day. Blow through the hollow instead of the threaded end. There's a Poll on ECF of how long cartos last most people. I'm not trying to be bossy, it's just that I learned by my mistake of not knowing I had to blow cartos out. When I took off the endpiece out of curiosity, I about retched when I saw the brown crusty filler -- ewww. It turned as white as new when I blew it out. I'm a newb too. Welcome to ECF and happy vaping. :)

its too much for some, not enough for others and just right for still others. It depends on the PERSON.

well said CaptJay! when i first started vaping, 24mg was great whenever i needed a good nic hit. nowadays, it's way too much for me. i make my own DIY juices and i keep the nic levels at around 6-8mg for all day vaping on LR attys. i'll sometimes use 12mg if i can't chain vape, but anything higher than that will give me too much of a nic rush. ;)
