Just bought a 501 and some liquid from Cignot - Excellent service BTW. Since it is my first time vaping, I was wondering if it is me or the liquid...I find the taste to be quite subtle. I quit smoking a while ago and have my taste buds back. I wanted to vape to curb occasional smoking cravings as well as "oral boredom"/food cravings.

Any suggestions on liquids with a more dramatic flavor? I have tried VG 0mg coconut, cappuccino, chocolate, as well as tobacco flavors. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Hi ApeWare, welcome to ECF. Cignot has very good quality juices, and understand their
Rich is most popular. I ordered from them once and found them too mild and bland (did not get the Rich). The winner of the e-fluids awards for this past year was from Dawn at DIY flavorshack. Then there is Nhale and Tasty Vapor. The 3 best in flavor type vaping.
Dawn's flavorshack will be open tomorrow I believe...something about her moving had her closed for awhile.

I prefer the tobacco flavors and have begun to buy from MyFreedomSmoke in the larger supplies. They have flavored ones too. Right now they have a sale for flavored tobacco 1/3 off by entering code "Juice." Hope you find what you are looking for.

I did get the rich and while I like the flavor, it just seems so...transparent/subtle. If I could have the "rich" flavor but with more strength, so the flavor is more apparent...I would be in heaven. My problem is that I taste the "fog machine" flavor more than the flavor additive. Was not sure if it was the juice, the flavors I chose, or if vaping simply doesn't produce much flavor.
From the posting in the forum, I guess I was expecting MORE flavor than I have experienced so far.

Any suggestions are welcome. Thanks for your comments and I will check out some of your suggestions.

The other two things to try are: make sure that you get the primer fluid out of the atty and make sure your cart is moist and the filler is making contact with the bridge of the atty.

I had an issue yesterday where I couldn't seem to get decent flavor and was able to remedy the issue by washing the cart filler. I still had a bit of a problem with the polyfill compacting after a top off, so went and bought some foam for the BFM.

Today has been nothing but happy vaping after the BFM..

I tried to follow instructions on the forum for the 501, blowing out the atty, etc. I tried dripping as well as a cart and just felt the flavor was barely there. Do you think I should boil the atty or something to make sure there is no more primer in it?? I have taken 30-50 drags off the atty by now so I figured the primer would be gone by now.

As I said, I'm new. I am assuming, based on posts, that I should be getting a MUCH stronger flavor.

dont boil the atty. it can ruin it.

the flavor you get will all depend on the juice you have as to how much flavor has been added to it.

yes if youve done 50 hits the primer should be gone,

MyFreedomSmokes and DIYFlavorshack - and possibly other vendors - sell juices with extra-flavor. I would highly recommend them.

So should I expect more flavor than I am getting from the liquids? 10% flavor the rest just vapor? Am I doing something wrong?? When you point to Bananas Foster Coffee, can you taste the spices, the banana, the camel? or is it just a hint of the flavor?

I don't know if this is an issue with my expectations, liquid, or I'm just doing it wrong. I know flavor is subjective, but so far I have not gotten a clear answer to my question. If you were to compare "Chocolate" liquid to say, eating a tootsie roll or a chocolate bar, how much of *that* flavor are YOU getting when you vape? For me, I would describe it as 5-10% (MAYBE). Maybe *just* enough to tell the flavor is chocolate and not coffee (or banana), but not enough to tell the difference between say "hot chocolate" and "chocolate cake". Does everyone else agree? or as I said...is it just me?

I smoked marboro ultra-light cigarettes and a pipe, so a tobacco flavor would be nice to have handy. I like the EcoPure "Rich" and RY4 flavors I got from Cignot, but I am just finding them to be VERY VERY weak.
I am also open to the "candy" flavors like pina colada, chocolate, coffee, etc. Really just looking for something with enough flavor that it would be satisfying. Think of it like a Marlboro Red smoker buming a Marlboro ultra-light, yea your smoking...but you wont be satisfied. I feel that way (even being an ultra-light smoker) I am just not getting the flavor I was expecting - plenty of vapor, just no flavor. I hope I'm making sense.
