$147 for initial set-up including spare PVs, a bunch of batteries and multi-charger. $40 per month for cartos and juice. Everyone's approach to vaping is different. Some take a long time to find the right juices or the right PV. I was lucky in both respects. Some folks collect PVs. I can't for the life of me understand why anyone would to want to collect PVs but that's why we are all different, isn't it?

I'm saving quite a bit of money by vaping rather than smoking. Smoking cost me nearly $200 per month.

I think the question is not really how much you spent in 10 days but how long will what you bought last when you know how long it will last say 6 months a year then it could bring the price into perspective.say you have 6 months worth of supplies then its like what 83.00 a month so if you were spending more then that then it will take longer for it to pay for it self but now that you have the units all you will need to buy is juice and replacement parts which will reduce costs. I have been vaping for 11 months and I don't think I have even spent 500.00 yet. I have only bought from 2 suppliers in 11 months the first one was from a vendor in my area and he was to expensive and too controlling.
I looked online for some one who would ship here to Canada and I did and ever since I have been with this company.
I am on disability so monthly I haven't got money to waste I found that the ego and ego tank are great for me its all I use. I just got my ego passthrough and ego- c atty's and I am very happy with this system to be able to replace the cores for a couple dollars instead of buying a whole new atty is very cost effective and will save me a ton of money on atty's.
Once you find your unit and you find the juice you like you can cut costs down dramatically.
Not sure if I am allowed to say where I buy so I won't this post but I usually buy my juice in bulk now. I buy the 200 mil bottles and they are only like 43.95 and if its all you bought shipping would be like 16.50 making 10 mils around 3.00 or .31 cents a mil but usually I buy more then just that so its cheaper when I break the shipping cost down over multiple items usually around .21 to .25 a mil.If someone can tell me if I'm allowed to say where I purchase then I can tell you where I buy perhaps you can cut cost going to these guys as well.

Agreed. But once you find your hardware it is really cheap. I now DIY all my juice so I only spend money only DIY supplies and cartos. I figure I spend about 50 cents a day. I used to spend $6.50 for a pack of smokes a day.

Money well spent on your health! Not sure what a lung transplant costs these days, but anything spent on ecigs is worth it to get off analogs, keep up the good work!! Buy what ever you need to reward yourself and keep your interest in vaping going. That is what I did & I don't regret a penny of it. LOL bnrk

So I'm ten days clean, guys and gals! It feels great and I have no intention whatsoever to go back to analogs EVER. My question has to deal with money. I've spent near five hundred bucks in the past 10 days. I have bought a Triple V (LT 3.0) kit from Vaporbeast (Tim's a doll), $78.00 at Health Cabin for two 1000mah Twists, six clearos and two 10ml bottles of Dekang juice. My first kit cost $200.00 from Zeecigs. I have a couple of seventy dollar purchases from both Backwoods and Highbrow for liquid. Is this normal?

Is it normal????? Well, if it's not then I am absolutely crazy! LOL! I'm 3 months into this and probably about $1000 in the hole. Started mixing my own juice now so I'm HOPING it will slow down a lot as my debit card is REALLY mad at me now.....

It took me 6 months to break even and now it costs me $.33 a day to vape..and that includes hardware & eliquid! It will get better, if for no other reason than you will have bought everything out there or you are out of money.

in the first 6 months or so you will spent quite a bit more than after; simply because you found a new hobby and are trying new things (mods, juices, atty's, cartos.. etc.

Personally, I haven't bought a mod in a long time and also have found my go to juice vendors so that I'm spending maybe $50/month at the most.. At the same time I have enough juice to last me 2+3 months and all i would need are my dual coil atty's.

Hmmm seems a little high. I would say for future purchases, find the product you like, them shop it around the web for good prices. I personally can recommend DFWVapor and Madvapes. But to answer your question, yes. Once you get excited about the products hardware and flavors, you can initially spend a bit.

However if your off the analogs your far ahead. Starter kit $200, twist $78, smoke free priceless.

Normal..I used to know what normal was just a few months ago. Now I'm using a condom and I am thinking about buying a tank of some kind. KGO was just an abbreviation of someone's name out there somewhere. Juice was made from fruit and I drank it. And I thought wheezing at night laying in bed was going to have to be normal for me too.

Yes..my definition of normal has changed quite a bit, for the better. You can't really put a price tag on it. I was fortunate in that I bought SafeCigs and then purchased my KGO after about 2 months. It was love at first sight. So my expenses are not probably as high as some other folks. I wouldn't have changed a thing though..it all got me to where I am today....happy ok..VERY happy!

Most of what I spent on ecigs has been on multiple small purchases. I average $40 to $50 a month on supplies, more when I have purchased new ecigs. The most I've spent on ecigs has been in the eGo price range. I bought one of every tank they made except the type C and lots and lots of Boge cartos, which I finally decided was the best thing going for me.

Until ... I jerked the chain and bought a Provari. That was a $250 purchase with the extended warranty. I don't usually buy warranties, but it's hard to fix proprietary electronics from online parts sources. I'm an electronics type who's built and repaired lots of things, but you gotta be able to get parts for a repair. I figured the service charge would be more than the warranty for the second year. Anyway, the extended warranty comes out to be $2 a month for two years.

Now, all I buy are batteries and cartos and juice and I'm back to $40 a month. I used to spend about $160 a month on cigarettes by the carton. Vaping is cheap if you think in those terms.

Bottom line here is you'll never know until you try it. Meaning, you have to spend, spend, spend. Just by the online nature of the business, there's no such thing as return or exchange if you don't like it.

You see a product and you think it will suit you. You get it regardless of what people say. When you're new you use visuals. They're presented nicely and attractive. No one will can sway you from getting a cig look alike. You want minis, minis, minis... You hate anything bigger. The product comes and you find all these issues. The next step is to spend again and again and again... rinse and repeat.

I'm a penny pincher. I search high and low for coupon codes, compare vendor prices (include shipping costs) and save money wherever I can. But, I will still pay what ever I think something is worth so I've dropped quite a bit of cash so far.
So far, I've spent about $500 on hardware (got about $200 of it back by selling off what I didn't like though). And about twice that buying DIY stuff and tons of small bottles of juice finding out what I liked.

But, after 2 months of constant purchasing I'm just about dialed into what I like. I have 4 PVs (3 Volt X2s & a Lavatube), 60-120ml bottles of the 5 juices I've found that I really like, enough carts and clearomizers to last me at least 6 months, 50 or so small bottles of juice I didn't like enough to buy more of but can still use on occasion, about 50 more that were just icky I can PIF to others, and enough DIY stuff to make a few thousand mils of my own juices.

So the constant spending should die down soon.
Just have one more batch of sample juices on the way to try and will order big bottles of any I like. After that the only thing I plan on trying/buying will be NAmber juices when they go live.

I guess what you've probably figured out from all the answers to your question is. . .there is NO such thing as NORMAL. Everyone goes at this differently.

My way of looking at it is to start with the fact that I used to smoke 2 packs of cigarettes a day. That was six cartons a month at $40 each plus lighter, mints, gum, room spray and a lot of extra dry cleaning and laundry. Forget the long-term medical expenses.

When I started vaping I first used 808's and after a starter kit, some extra batteries and a bunch of cartos my monthly costs dropped to just juice and a few cartos. (I boil my cartos in water about once a week so I get to use them for quite a while.)

Then I decided an upgrade was due. I bought a KGO kit, one extra battery, some 510 cartos, an addy and drip tip for occasional dripping and a tank system. Now I can leave the house with one battery and a filled tank and last the whole day. I am now back to buying only juice and some additionl cartos for my tank system.

OK, I am now looking to upgrade again. I am considering different vv mods. But this time all my accesories should still be useful so after the mod, an additional battery and charger I'll be back to just juice and an occasion carto.

So to summerize; unless you decide to make vaping a hobby (which is not a bad thing. . .only more expensive like most hobbies are) you can figure that after your hardware purchases your monthly costs should only be for juice and the occasional supply.

Congratulation on quitting analogs. Vaping becomes one expensive hobby. I have been vaping for over a year and i have spent quiet a bit. But it is fun to get out there and the vaping community is awesome and i have meet some great people. Definitely worth it. Have fun.

Normal....it's relative. My initial investment was pricey, by purchasing a ProVari. In the long run I've saved money compared to smoking analogs. I used to be a pack a day smoker at $6-$7 a pack. This isn't even mentioning the health aspect of it either.
