We should be attempting, as much as possible, to reduce and eliminate intake of all toxins. As we consume toxins they tend to accumulate in our bodies, too much can kill or have a detrimental effect on our health.

We wonder what causes cancer, Parkinson's, Multiple Sclerosis and so many diseases, and meanwhile we continue feeding our children artificial colors that are carcinogens while saying "a small dose wont hurt them". Well guess what, Candy and cereal might actually taste better without that Blue Lake 70 artificial color!

Think before you drink
If nicotine worries you avoid Potatoes, Tomatoes, Eggplant and a number of other plants for they contain nicotine.

Nicotine does not bother me, and I'm well aware there are toxins including nicotine all around us in our environment. Just IMO it is best to limit our exposure if we can. But hey I need vices, so I vape, nicotine is therapeutic. I guess if you want you can drink your juice, I suggest keeping the dose small.
Today I'm kinda more worried about those artificial colors like red 40, and blue 1, and the multitude of others used in our food.
And heavy metals and toxins in the air we breath.
Potatoes don't scare me..

100% agree, as far as nicotine goes. And this is way off topic but:
Never eat a green potato!
and, here in the south folks eat Poke Sallet, ever heard of it?
YUM:
Poke Sallet Recipe
  1. Remove pokeweed leaves from plant.
  2. Rinse pokeweed leaves in cool water.
  3. Bring leaves to rolling boil in large pot for 20 minutes.
  4. Pour leaves into sieve and rinse in cool water.
  5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 two more times.
  6. Pan-fry pokeweed leaves for a couple of minutes in bacon grease.
  7. Add crushed bacon, salt, and pepper to taste.
  8. Serve and enjoy.
It's also known as poke root, poke salad (or poke sallet), poke berry, poke, inkberry, cancer root, American nightshade, pigeon berry and other names.
source: How to Handle Harvest and Prepare the Poisonous Pokeweed
Parts of the plant has been used historically to assassinate people.
I don't eat Poke, but my dad used to eat a couple berries daily for his arthritis. He smoked all his life and passed away at an early age. Just maybe if he had been able to limit his toxin intake he may have lasted a little longer, I will never know.

Wow- and here I was worrying about getting juice on my hands from filling my tanks...no worries after reading this thread. :thumb: Call me wacky but I tried getting rid of the 'crazy ants' (google that one) that swarm my patio with my un-vapable e-juice flavors hoping it would kill them and their evil queen(s)...no such luck so no Shark Tank for me. :( The fight continues...

I think plants use nicotine as a repellant, but it is an ever escalating chemical war, some insects won't like it, some will be just fine. Would probably need high strength nic to ward off normal insects, and then there would be risks of poisoning animals... Find a bug that eats the ants and het some. Good luck with crazy ants though, my aunt was crazy and we could never figure out how to get rid of her either.

I've had vapes leak juice in my mouth. It's not a pleasant experience and has left me nauseous at times. I wouldn't recommend intentionally drinking any juice, but I guess that's up to you. Seems like it would be rather harmless in small doses, but a significant amount could, I believe, potentially leave you overdosed on nicotine.

Boric Acid.

It kills everything and is harmless to humans and pets once dry. Just, wear proper precautions while using it, seriously the stuff is kinda toxic while you are spraying it.

Since I boric acided the perimeter and exterior of our house (despite the husbands wishes) I have seen ONE bug in my house, and it had wings so I think it came in with an open door. The situation prior to that time was pretty dire.

I don't think much is going to happen other than potential contamination by using nicotine as a bug killer. It's not TERRIBLE, but it isn't exactly GREAT either I did a bunch of research because frankly after 3 reculuse bits, a few scorpions and finally ONE too many palmetto bug in the bathroom, I kind of lost my mind and went on the war path.

Tried and true, really, and you genuinely don't need that much boric acid either. The pest control companies totally hose you, dilute down their pesticides to very low levels and wander around spraying what looks like a firehose around your house, but that is more "marketing."

You can solve your problem (many times over) for 9.99 at Walmart with your "DIY Boric acid kit."

@stols001 - Thanks for the suggestion. We use boric acid in our detached garage and it works great on the rest of the critters so I tried it for the ants, first mixed with sugar as bait, and with honey, but even after multiple treatments and time, it didn't phase them or lower the population. But I did find a cheap Fire Ant powder (toxins be damned!) to sprinkle on the mounds they create between the pavers that is slowly working...it would be working faster without all the rain we're getting. I can actually stand in one place now longer without them crawling on my feet. YUK! that drives me crazy...hmmm...crazy ants are driving me crazy...I see an entomological conspiracy theory lurking in the shadows...

(Sorry all for the off-topic)
