It has been awhile since I been in these forums. And just as long since I vaped. Short story is, I had to sell all my vape equipment due to health and financial issues. I am on a slow recovery on both accounts. With this slow recovery I have given up a lot of the fun and enjoyable things I used to do.

I really started to enjoy vaping. I enjoyed it for the flavours of liquids and the mods. I have decided I need to start getting back to doing things I enjoyed. vaping is in my opinion something I could do without needing other people or need to collect things and so on. And cost me the least in both initial start up and on going expenses.

I am here to get some help and opinions from you vape gurus. I was looking at and almost decided on getting the IPV Velsa with a Smok TFV8 tank. The mod I sold was a Fuchai 200W with a TFV4 tank. I enjoyed the combination a lot but have decided to try something newer.

For me looks and tech and performance are equally important. The other mod I was looking at is the Smok G-Priv2 but the prices are a bit too high. I am trying to keep things under $100, I will need to get batteries, extra coils and a couple of liquids if possible. But for the most part the mod, tank and batteries are the most important.

So what say ye gurus of ECF?

I say mod wise get whatever suits your fancy, but remember nothing is perfect and everything is subjective.
Tank wise i'd say DON'T get the tfv8 nor any smok's tank for that matter,i've seen more smok tank related issues lately than any other manufacturer (i've had my share of issues myself) i won't dive into details but do your research if you wanna know why as there's lots of reason i don't recommend those (both from experience and my own research aswell as threads here on ecf) depending on what you fancy i'd get an rta or any kind of rebuildables,i myself am vaping on a Freemax Fat Scylla Sv atm and love it very much 4ml capacity has all kinds of coils for it (it uses starre pure and protank coils).

Mod wise i use a wismec predator 228 dual 18650 battery and has most bells and whistles you'd ever need (exept light shows and that type of things, only logo options)

Thank you QcVaper. You have given me more to look at and consider. I definitely looked at the Wismecs before settling on the Fuchai. I like the look of this mod as well. I will check out the TFV8, a kid I work with has one and loves it and as I said I had the TFV4 and loved it. I guess things can change even in a short amount of time.

The led lights on the Velas is just a cool addition to a mod I enjoy the look of. I was already thinking about what I can change on the mod. I really want a pink mod which seem to be few and far between. I can see some mods to make to the Predator.

I've played a bit with a purple mod recently that i liked quite alot (minikin v2 search it) but yeah like i said everything about vaping is subjective,i still use my tfv8 sometimes with the rba base ,but that's why i'm about to get an rta myself. But hey,who knows maybe you'll enjoy it more than i ever could :)
Welcome back to ecf good sir ! and happy vaping !

Thank you.

Check out places like the clearance section of EightVape in order to save a bit of money.

They have the wismec predator on sale for 39.99 right now and the Vaporesso Nebula mod on sale for 34.99, the uwell crown 3 for 18.99, among other things.

Welcome back, and I hope you find a setup that you enjoy. I don't DL, so I don't have much comment on your setup options, but it is absolutely possible to "come back" to vaping, and I hope it goes well for you.

Anna

first of all, welcome back!
Smoant Charon is another mod to consider, it is a really solid mod, it has been my daily driver for the last 3-4 months or so.
Im not sure if Wismec have fixed the new batch of Predator, but I heard some people are having issues with the 510 (I have one myself, though I dont have any problems with mine, so far), but yeah Joyetech/Wismec are known for their wonky 510 connection. I have a Joyetech Evic Primo broke down after 1+ months of use. personally I'm avoiding their products, for now.
Can't really recommend sub-ohm tanks as I dont use one, I prefer RDAs myself.

Mods themselves are highly subjective to the user. If you want a good tank recommendation, go with an OBS Engine. By far the best tank I've ever used. The top airflow makes it practically leakproof short of overfilling it. You can find them online for around $20 to $25.

Predator 228 here too,no issues at all and it's been about a month since i bought the thing.
Only time i had an issue with it was when i used my big baby beast rba,but it was a coil issue not a 510 lol.

I don't have a recommendation for a mod or topper for you. However, I will say Yes, you can come back. When I first started vaping, I used an ego battery with a clearomizer topper. I was never happy with it and got no satisfaction from the vape. I think I was using a store juice with 12 mg/ml nic. I never quit the cigs and soon just never bothered to use the gear. It was probably about a year later I got really serious about stopping smoking. I went to a local B&M and got with a good sales rep that matched me with a 13650 mod and a Nautilus tank. He also gave me 24mg/ml unflavored juice, I did not want any flavors. I was happy with the setup and it really helped me cut down on the smokes. I set my birthday as my quit date and have been smoke-free for the last 2 1/2 years. So, welcome back.

Welcome to the board. I can’t help you with anything, lol. My wife is now vaping at 8.5 watts and I’m at a whopping 14.

To simply get back into Vaping with a small yet powerful enough stealthy MOD, look into the Pico Kit with the Melo III Mini tank. For an average price of $25 you can be vaping as soon as Vape Mail gets it there. Oh you will need a battery and a charger but one battery required.

I like my smok baby beast tanks lol. I also really enjoy my alien 220w and my AL85. My alien 220w paired with my crown 3 is my favorite set up.

Thank you all for all the suggestions. I was able to get a coupon from a co-worker. I ended up getting the Telas and the TFV8 tank. I am terrible at making decisions there are several mods and tanks I want to get, so here is to winning the lottery (lol). Now to get some juice samples, there are too many choices for them, going to take weeks to decided, lol.
