Is it possible to delete your own posts?

I made the mistake of flippantly posting a silly cartoon pic in one of those lunatic political threads populated with people screaming at each other instead of communicating. I wasn't thinking, and now this thread, like some stinking zombie that WILL NOT DIE, is apparently going to be stuck at the top of my "My Posts" listing forever. I'd love to be able to go back in and yank out my one little post so this topic would vanish from my list, but can't find a 'delete' button. Is it possible to do this, or am I stuck?

Hit the Report button and request that it be deleted and one of us mods will take care of it.

Don't worry about it. They get themselves in trouble if they don't have enough to do.
