I've had some pretty bad luck vaping lately. I just got a newish vape tank and a battery today from a friend, and it was empty, but he said he had mint in it when he last used it (Because he got the juice for free), and I filled the tank with my grape juice. I can definitely identify the mint, the only problem is I can't tell if the mint is suppose to taste so potent and like poison, or if there is something wrong with the tank, it seems in pretty good shape.

How do you know what poison tastes like? Have you ever tried or accidentally drank some? :danger:

Menthol flavors will linger for awhile (usually in the o-rings)
Try cleaning with alcohol, rinse with hot water.
I have never tasted poison tho...
I should of cleaned it, but I wasn't aware of the mint in it until after I filled it and asked my friend why it tasted like plastic. I probably exaggerated on the whole 'poison' thing because i'm sure bleach tastes a lot different than this. Its probably just because the menthol is so potent, it's like a grilled a grape flavored cough drop and smoked it.

LMAO! Reminds me of the Cappuccino I bought that I said to myself this must taste great since I like Cappuccino. Ever have a mouth full of coffee grinds? This is worse!
Yup...thank God I had the foresight to order the small sample size...'Dead Skunk in the middle of the road' flavor...8 ml:nah:

Well smell and vape could be 2 different planets! But I might agree with you NOT trying it because you just have a feeling it will be much the same in a vape.... If it isn't good on the nose forget about mouth or tongue!
Part of taste is smell...it MIGHT be OK, but my wife said 'get that ......... out of the house right this second' and I couldn't really argue the point over my gag reflex...

is the tank plastic? those tend to hold flavor no matter how much you wash them. some mint flavors have a lot of menthol and a very strong taste. I use a strong mint flavor with a lot of menthol in a dedicated tank to reset my senses when I develop vape tungh welcome to ECF and enjoy your stay here. since your friend is not dead I don't think that tank is poisoned. unless they are not really your friend

you need to clean your tank

drop it in a 50/50 mix of vodka and hot water(not boiling hot, just reasonably hot if that makes sense)
drop the pieces in except the base that connects to the mod. and let them sit in the mix for like 5 mins then take them out and blow in pretty hard a couple times then and drop them back in and do that once more 5 mins later then drop it again and let it sit for a good 10mins atleast...then take them out blow really hard a couple more times and then let dry them with some paper and leave them by a window to completely dry on the inside (i usually let mine sit by a window for a couple hours)

this should 100% clean it and vape like new....

if you still have issues taste wise i'm not sure then...
