I started vaping on Friday so I am very new to this.

I started a Pina Colada Cartomizer on Friday and probably had about 50 puffs since then. It produced ok vapor.

Today I busted opened a Pineapple flavor Carto and WOW, it produced lots of vapor. As I took a long drag, I noticed that the Carto and vapor got a little hot towards the end, but vapor was thick.

The Pina Colada Carto didn't produce nearly as much vapor or heat.

Is it possible that the Pina Colada Cartomizer was dry/old/defective?

How can one tell when a Cartomizer is ready for refill and when it is ready to be thrown in the trash?

Thanks!

No there is probobly nothing wrong with your first cart it is probobly just getting a little dry by now! When the carts are about spent the taste/vapor starts to go away and you will notice a slight burnt taste in it also. Also different flavors produce different amounts of vapor the flavor that I found to make the most vapor by far(atleast out of the flavors I have tried) is deffinately the cappuccino flavor! Another thing to consider is that a newly charged battery puts out a lot more vapor than a battery that has been used awhile between recharging!!!

Well let's put it this way....I smoked a pack a day of marlboro milds(menthol) At first a cart would last me all day(and the battery) because I was using it just like a real cigarette and use it every hour or so and take about 10 or so hits off of it. But now i'll go through about 1 1/2 -2 carts a day and the battery will die and need recharged by about 9 p.m. or so because.....like you will find......vaping is much more convenient thansmoking and you will find yourself using it a lot more often(every 20-30 mins) but only taking 3-5 hits at a time! Once you get good at refilling(which I still have to perfect) a refilled cart should last for the same amount of time and produce about as much vapor!

I agree. But I always put on a fresh battery to check the carto first, because sometimes the battery is low even though it hasn't blinked yet. Freshly charged batteries always produce more vapor and better throat hit than a used battery, even if that battery hasn't totally died yet.

So try that first. A dry carto will not produce vapor or have much taste left. If it's really dried out, you will get a slightly burned taste (kind of like burned marshmallows).

Hope this helps. :)
