Is my eGo-T atomizer dead?

Ok, here's what happened: I was outside enjoying some Banana Split juice and all of a sudden, it started tasting horrible. So bad that it made me feel kinda sick. I tried a few different juices in different tanks, but they all taste bad. I'd say it tastes like burnt chemicals now...

Luckily, I still have the other atomizer that came with the kit and that one is working fine.

Any ideas on what happened to my atomizer? I've only been using it for a few days...

give it a bath, let it soak in some PGA or alcohol for a while, take out let dry, hit with hair dryer make sure its dry and give er a go

I run alcohol through the atty several times, and then let it soak in it for a good hour, then run some fresh alcohol through it again.

make sure it dries 100% dry, the hairdryer thing works good ( I do that ), but I would still put it in a dry warm place for a good 24 hours before I would touch it with juice.

The prime the puncture device with a drop directly on top of it, ( it will roll off the side and into the chamber as well ) pop in a tank, give it a couple of no-button draws to prime it well, and the fire it up.

That should do it.

( just be careful, you don’t want to be vapiong rubbing alcohol, make sure it is absolutely dry, no alcohol smell at all )

Thanks for the tips guys! I'll be trying these out today to try to save my atomizer. Oh, and after the flavored turned bad, I blew out the atomizer. Some nasty looking juice came out... It was almost black! The darkest juice I've ever using with this atomizer was a very light tan, so this black stuff coming out is definitely not right. lol

I don't know what happened with mine. I'm pretty careful with it and have cleaned it out before. I only use light juices in it. I didn't even get the burnt taste- it just stopped working.

That was my backup!! Dumb me. Gotta go back to the cartomizers until I get new ones.

Mine went from "perfect" to "OMG what the hell happened?!?!?!" in two puffs lol. The change was instant... I just cleaned it out a bit with no effect. The atomizer is soaking in some very hot water right now... Hopefully it's not a lost cause. Those atomizers are expensive!

Mine did as well, I did pick up a 3rd in case one dies ( and because my wife is using my second unit )

Im rotating the three... 2 being used by my wife and I, one drying from being cleaned.

it has only been 3 weeks since I started ( 12 days since no cigarettes, but vaping longer than that )

haven’t lost an atty yet... but assume I will.

when I do... I order a new spare

( I have a 3d battery on order also, I want to keep 3 complete units with 2 of us using them, although we can share ( when not at work ), we like the same juice and she uses it a lot less than I do )

Yea just got my kit the other day and think Im gonna order and extra just to have around you never know. The are expensive I was just looking at the prices.

I got my spare Atty somewhere and it was pretty cheap.... cignot I think.

Make sure it is an eGo-T atomizer as they are different.

I found them for around $11 or $12 ( 2 packs of cigarettes )

There is almost no point in just buying one as buying more won’t add much to the shipping. Next time I will probably buy 2 or 3 of them.

I think I'm going to order a couple eGo-T atomizers... I'd like to play it safe.

I feel so bad for my bank account though! I am very broke right now and really can't afford to be buying stuff... lol

Ouch! An eGo-T atomizer from Cignot is $16... Any idea where I can find them cheaper?

Yeah after the Tax man commeth... I am also stretched, of course I have 2 daughters getting married 2 months apart and the first wedding is just a month away. So I have an excuse to be broke.

I apologized to my wife about my spending around $150 now getting set up with e-cigs…. She divided 150/ $6 a pack I was paying and replied 25 days, If you spend that much every 25 days and never smoke again then you have done well, if you spend less than that every 25 days then you are ahead of the game.

This IS a bad day...mine went today, too! I just got a new one in yesterday's vapemail, so gonna try that one. I got yucky darkness when I blew it out, too...strange, light juices only thru it. I got on the waiting list for a MAP tank to see if that will be my answer, as I hate the mess with dripping...but the flavor!! I heard on twitter that you can just use the tank atty for dripping and it does well for that. I'm wondering if the tank itself is the issue??!! I'm really at a loss for why it would work great, then --bleh!??

Haha... That's what I've been using to justify spending money on all this eCig stuff. "Well, I'd be spending the money on analogs anyway... So I guess it's ok to buy this, and this, and this..." lol

I have no idea... The change was instant though. One puff was great, the next was awful. I have been running some dark-ish juices through it I guess (Banana Split and Orange Creamsicle from thevaporroom.net). They weren't too dark though... The main juice I've been using is a plain tobacco flavor and is very light in color. The juices I've been using have all been a 50/50 mix. I may try using pure PG juices for a while and see how the atomizes holds up...

I'm still very new to this whole PV thing, so I'm still learning what to do and what not to do. lol
