Not necessarily. I use thicker gauge 29 when using softer silver NR to resist breaking. For pure nickel NR, I use 32 gauge for easier twisting. Nickel is stiffer than silver so I find higher gauge nickel hard to twist.
I found it.. link is above this post. I had to edit bc my first posts were not for Pure Nickel ebay listings. There is a seller on ebay from Greece who wants about 7 something for 16 feet and the same exact thing is available from someone else in the USA for 8.44 with shipping for 100ft. Specs are the same.
