The reason Reagan was such a huge Jelly Bean fan was because that was how he quit smoking, he ate the candy to get through cravings and it just became his thing..

Yeah... Reagan was also a Big Believer in Less Government Intervention verses More Government Intervention. So if one wants, they can Spin It that way.

The Long and the Short of it is, whatever the exact Motivation, I doubt we will ever know. So I guess One Person's 6 Degrees of Freedom are just as good as Another's.

Wow, interesting take, zoiDman, I didn't catch the Regan reference. Also true, Opinionated, after searching I found that not only did Regan start eating jelly beans to help him quit smoking, he was a paid cigarette model appearing in cigarette ads back before he became Prez.
