Umm, I can't qualify this well as I don't have either the RM2 or 3 (I have an RM4...) But! When reading up about them before my purchase, I recall a few threads mentioning your wicking as it relates to squonking and draining.. Not sure if this applies to both or just one of the attys mentioned, but you don't want your wick to cover the 'sqonk hole' as it will impair its ability to do so.

The RM3 should drain just fine. I've got 3 of them up and running with no issues.

The wicking causing issues with draining is usually related to having a long tail wick that blocks or impedes the drain hole. You could take the cap off of the atty, squonk gently and observe the juice behaviour. If it's not flushing from the deck after releasing, check to see if there's a wick (or other) blockage. If there's no wick impediment, take the wick(s) out and observe another squonk to see if the issue is with the atty itself. We can help from there if you're still stuck.
