The only reason I could really see anyone having a "problem" with the average VG/ palm oil derived, would be IF they were allergic to palm oil. People that have palm allergies have to be careful with everything in their daily dietary and hygienic needs.

Essential Depot has at least 2 choices , one palm and then another. I get the cheaper one because so far, I dont think I have an allergy to palm oil. Palm also goes by Argan and a few other " fancy " names to justify its use in expensive hair and skin products.

Soy is another source for VG, but I think there are more people that have latent ( or unknown ) allergies to soy.
This is all from what little knowledge I have gathered in my "memory" banks from being in the medical field for a few years and from what Ive found in casual research in looking for VG.

Its my 2 cents, its what I base my choice for the least expensive VG source.

P.S. I might be crazy, Im still being tested :)

hate to burst your bubble there.. but argan oil is not palm oil and actually comes from a completely different tree. Argan oil is a plant oil produced from the kernels of the argan tree (Argania spinosa L.) that is endemic to Morocco.

Thanks, that what I assumed, I read long ago when Argan came out that it was a special Moroccan tree etc.

Then one of the derm docs told me it was hype and it was just palm. So I googled and found a few articles on it and found some of those "truth about ..." type articles...and it said that Argan was a type of palm. So I just figured , "oh well" and since I really did not care, ( it was nothing important to ME )

I stand corrected, and I thank you. Now I know. I love forums.... You constantly learn from each other.

Like I posted , I might be NUTs, I am being tested. :)

Oh, and dont worry my bubble was bursted as child, so Im used to being "bubble-less" Im the female "Charlie Brown"

I use vegetable glycerin derived from rapeseed (a sustainable source).

It's all good, I'm fine.

I urge you to make sure you are using a sustainable source of whichever vegetation you prefer.

I think I would prefer less humans on this planet than less rainforest...

Sorry

Yours faithfully,
Mr, Goody2Shoes.

I don't know wich is better but both vg from soy and Palm tasted the same to me. I even tough I worry about the health risk sometimes I'd still rather vape than smoke. If someone is that worried all the time I'd suggest they put that mental energy towards quitting completely.

Late to this thread, and it is the end of a Friday so a bit tired, but I took the click bait and read that press release. I didn't see anywhere in that fancy study anything about Palm oil, so where did that whole issue come from?

And what's up with all these pots and kettles? Did they test those too?
