Hi, i bought my istickTC40W over a year ago.
I've been using it in TC mode lately and have noticed it goes through the battery pretty fast.
Is there something on the market that has the edge over the istick?
I'm only going to be using it in TC mode, so i'd actually like to avoid something with extremely high Wattage, as it'd be unnecessary and i'm a bit wary of putting a battery that powerful near my face.
Thanks,

There are many mod's available with more power than the TC40W which I am still using mine years later. I think you might want to look into a multi-cell mod like the Alien or Predator which are two of the many available these days. Or you could stick with the iSticks and go for the 100W which I believe does TC. Happy shopping!

Thanks Steve.
I've never heard of a multi-cell MOD. Does it have any advantages over your conventional type of MOD?
I do like the isticks - they're nice to hold.
I just had a look at the 'Predator' - looks like a nicely designed piece of kit - but i'm wary of the >200w power of the thing.
I had a look at the istick TC100w and it uses 1850 batteries.. Do all the high watt MODs use removable batteries?

Multi-cell is removable batteries and not built in batteries. Advantage is you can change batteries when they get discharged versus charging in the MOD with a USB like the iStick. Are you looking for built in battery or replaceable?
Was shopping yesterday and saw a multi cell mod with Lipos.

Well i don't really know the pros and cons of removable vs built in.. i guess i should do some research.
This particular unit i'm looking at buying is for my dad, - he's 64 and not very fond of technology, so i would imagine a built in battery would be best.
Looks like the istick TC100w is the one.

I would ideally get a built in battery with a large capacity over high wattage.

    Thanks,

Sounds like you iStick might be getting towards the End of it's Life Cycle.

You might Check Out the eLeaf Pico. It's a Nice, Compact TC Mod. And the Advantage it uses a Removable 18650 Battery. So you can just Swap out the Battery when it gets Low.

I believe the iStick TC40W is a regular 18650 with soldiered connections. Did some research into changing the cell if it ever kisses the ghost!
Well, in that case it would be nice if they offered us low watt folks a version with lower amps and more mah. Maybe 3000 mah, 2 amp? Istick 10 watt? Lol

yeah i almost bought that years ago :) guy in the shop convinced me to go with the 40wTC.
Thanks for the suggestion, but i think the pico uses external batteries.

    How about this?
Eleaf iStick QC 200W 5000mAh Battery

Seems way OP for my usage... i'll only be using it in TC mode so 200w doesn't mean much to me. But 5000mah internal battery is pretty cool.
