Is there a fix for the Turtleship V2 locking ring?

I received my Turtleship V2 clone on Friday. Noticed the locking ring covers the vent holes of the body. Besides getting a router and making some really precision cuts to the ring itself, is there a replacement ring or other fixes that are out there? This is my first mech and I am not pulling anything above 10A yet, but I want it to be as safe as possible and covering the vent holes seems dangerous.

There is a fix for the V1 TS but it is the part that is now on the V2 I believe. V1 rings can be sent in for the V2 update.

Sorry, I didn't see that you were talking about the clone. I have no info on that.

I guess I assumed the clone would be close to the original. The engraving, threads and everything else are great. It is just the dumb locking ring, why they would make it like that is beyond me.
