Is there a How To for the tekkeon mod?

I'm working on mine and have a question. Is there a way to get rid of the white LED? I don't want it and it's in my way for how I want to do the mod.

I just snipped it with a pair of dikes and isolated the contacts with some glue...

Thanks...I didn't want to blow it up. The LED is nifty and neat, but I don't need it and it's in the way

Hate the gray circles caused by the inner panel so I painted it. Got rid of the LED and mounted the batt connector there. Feels great and vapes like crazy.

The reason I ask is that the first few I tested would NOT give the full amps needed for a 510 at that voltage from the internal circuits provided by the unit (as there is a voltage drop) . Some say, there is no drop whatsoever. That is why I ask for a "second" proof/opinion.

Any modders meander into making the internal components - as shipped -- adjustable?

And which 510 is that? Joye, Bauway, Boge, SLB? There's a big difference.
