MVP should have come with on of these. I don't use my MVP's all that much because the pin always has to be pulled up.
I'm sure that someone out there knows how to fix this issue..........

I don't have a MVP, bit I suspect the issue can be minimized if you only screw down the topper enough to make electrical contact. That's what I used to do with my eGo batts when I used them a lot.

I figured out how to fix this problem a few days after I got my MVP2.

buy a 510 to 510 adapter. Problem solved.

Maybe get a beauty ring? Might keep you from over tightening the topper your using and keep the post from being pressed down.
Just a thought as I don't know what heads you're using.

Nah, the MVP's are defective. At least some of them, like the one I got. Nothing you do outside of getting a 510 to 510 adapter is going to help keep the pin in place....because some heads push it down, and it is REALLY sensitive.

The only solution that I found worked for me was the 510 to 510 adapter. I haven't had to pull out the center pin once since I got it. I just leave the 510 to 510 adapter on.....unless I use a ego device, but I don't use them that much....

There is One Permanent Solution.

But it should Only be Done when All Else Fails. Because it can Not be Undone.

@zoiDman: I knew I could count on you for a logical answer!!!!

I just didn't want to throw it Out there and Have you do it Unless you have Tried more Reversible Fixes.

But if you want to know...

You could File the Top of your MVP's 510 Connection. Just don't Blame me if you Do It and then You Don't Like it.

I don't even file my own nails, you think I'm gonna do that???? Anyway, I wouldn't do that since there are 4 notches in the top. I think I can handle the adapter suggestion though. Thx!

510-510 adapter would be the easiest but it adds to the length.

what I do with mine (because mines now VERY sensitive) is I screw my atty to soft seat and get the proper resistance reading, then use the beauty ring to snug it up to the atty. works VERY well for the last 3 months and saved my doomed mod ^^
