When I first started vaping I also was one of those vape AND smoke types. It wasn't until I started really investing some time into researching gear and learning to build that I finally found something that satisfied my nicotine cravings. I also started meditating, which helped A LOT. If I ever get a craving where I just HAVE to have a cigarette (can't even remember the last time that happened now), then I meditate instead. They say that it's harder to stop a habit than it is to replace a habit. I figured meditation combined mindfulness (which helps when it comes to making a decision whether or not to inhale smoke and all the harmful crap that is added to it) with a new, positive habit.

Meditation doesn't have to be this big ordeal either. It's not like you're starring in some hokey kung-fu movie. In fact, I meditate at work a lot, and I don't think most of my coworkers even know about it. Even if you're not interested in becoming a Buddhist, going to a Zen group helped me with learning how to meditate. I no longer practice zazen the way a Zen Buddhist would much anymore, but it gave me a good foundation for other forms of meditation afterwards. I can now meditate at my desk with my eyes open (this is where Zen helped a lot) while working. I am one who is prone to irritability, so this was one of the best things that I started doing. It's a great side effect that it also allowed me to switch exclusively to vaping. The nicotine is still not good for you, but if that's a concern then you can ease yourself down on nic content over time.
