Would prefer to see your build deck before making suggestions.

More than a Few Kayfuns and Russians have been Modified because the user was inexperienced at wicking that style tank.
Aside from a VERY crappy machining job(seen a few) these should not need grinding.

Best bet - you should return to Ego/Cleros for a while.
You have, in less than 1 paragraph - proven - you do not have the knowledge to be fooling with RBAs

tchavei in your example with Rayon, do you want to cover the juice channel hole with the Rayon, or do you try to make sure the rayon isn't covering it by pushing it back against the deck? I don't use rayon in my Kayfun much, and the way I've always wicked is by pressing the wick against the deck as much as I could so it doesn't cover the juice channel. That works well with low VG juices, but with thick juices it doesn't work so well for me. I know I must be doing something wrong since so many seem to have better luck than me using Kayfuns with thick juices.

In all honesty... I don't think it matters. As long as the wick isn't getting inside the channels, it will work.

If you look at the last pic, on the left side I pushed the rayon closer to the deck and the chanel is clear. On the right side I didn't.

It works anyway. What you need is to find the right density of the wick. For me, using a 2mm id coil, 40 — 45% of a Sally rayon strand is the right density. After pushing the rayon through the coil, all you need is trim the tails to make them fit on the deck. That's all.

Make sure you have a good vacuum and it should work.
