Is there a way to post more than 5 pictures on the same thread

I have this question because I made modification on my mod and I want to show them on the original thread ?

You could Merge the Photos into One Larger Photo.

Is it the only way, because I think I saw on other threads more than 5 pics but farther in the thread, I mean like after a certain amount of reply you can upload more pictures...

Does a rule like that is existing?

You can load them to photobucket.com then copy the image link and past to the thread.
