is there a way to test carto's to see if they work?

i've cleaned my carto's twice now (running hotish water through them, blowing out the excess, then letting them dry). i plan on using em until they die. is there a way to test em to see if they still work (without using juice)

I'm interested in this as well, however for me they aren't expensive enough to make me take the time to clean them in normal circumstances. If I run out, and can't get them for some reason, I will clean them out.

Use a digital multi-meter to check the ohms. The ohm reading will go up with use.

Pick up a 7 Function Multimeter for $4.99 from Harbor Freight. Sometimes they are on sale for $2.99.

Multimeter is the way to go. Even though I don't use carts on the Provari, I throw them on there to check the ohms. If you have a mod that can read the ohms it is also a good test device.
