Is there a Webring?

I remember a while back a web portal called webring that linked hundreds of similar websites to the portal. By clicking a button you would be sent to a new website in this portal or you could go to the directory and view all the sites listed in that specific portal. Not sure how popular this is anymore, but

Does anyone know if one exists for ecigs?

What would be the pros and cons of this kind of portal?

Would anyone be interested in forming a webring?

I haven't seen one in what, 10 yrs or close to it. It kinda got wiped out by better & more popular search engines.

Linking together informational sites like that would probably be a good resource, depending on how it was managed. That's a trip back in the wayback machine....wonder if there's vaping channels in IRC.

I'm putting together some informational pages right now...not up yet, but I'd participate. Get it rollin.

thanks for the replies. Im showing my age with webring . I think for information would be a good idea. I guess for information, without having to get webmaster's permission to add a UI to web page, the only way to do it would to be develop a web page or forum and just farm links. I would be interested in trying to see if we can accomplish something. Ill send you a PM.
