Is there any difference (for the user) between ProTank 2 and 3 ?

Edit:
I understand from you that neither of them are even close to perfect, so I might just go with a smaller size tank. What's your opinion on Mini Protank 2 vs. Smoktech Aro Pyrex ?

Original post: The store I'm ordering from sells only PT2. Is the PT3 worth placing a different order from another store or at the end the technical differences between them aren't noticeable? (I watched a YouTube video about the 2, but he didn't mention if he really feels the difference when he vapes).

Also, do you recommend using stock eGo batteries with the ProTanks, or should I get a higher voltage batteries to get the most of their performance?

I usually vapes 70/30 liquids.

Thanks!

I do not think the PT3 is worth having, and I have 2 of them.

The tiny area of the Kanger head is too small to dissipate heat from. Once you get enough voltage to push a good vapor and flavor through it you are caramelizing the liquid at the bottom of the tank. Just my opinion. I bought replacement bottom tank pieces and turned my PT3s into more PT2s.

What do you think about the mini pt2 vs. smoktech aro pyrex ?
the smoktech is much cheaper and looks similar.

I'm a noob and have never tried smoktech aro pyrex (or even heard of it) but I will say literally every other configuration I tried falls short of the Kanger Coil + Tank. I hadn't checked brands a lot on tanks and coils as I bought local and just tried this and that, but I did go through a lot of different (unknown to me) brands trying to find that perfect combo.

I have tried other coils with the Protanks as well, and there is a massive difference. Other coils taste burnt, give weird flavor, or just don't vape as well. I don't quite know what it is, but I do know that the cause doesn't concern me as much as the effect. Kanger pleases me, so I use Kanger :D

It should be noted that I haven't tried every coil/tank out there. These are just my own experiences, and I'm sure lots of knowledgeable people here can vouch for some other great combos.

I'm about 1 week into vaping and have become a regular at a little shop that just opened in my neighborhood.

I started with an eGo battery with Kanger T3s and switched pretty quickly to the PT3's..

They have been out of the PT2 but they had the PT3..
I bought 2 of the PT3's and both times, the salesman replaced the coils in the box with a different set.

The coils in the PT3 box were shorter than the ones in my T3s, but he replaced them with coils that looked like the ones in my T3s.

He said they worked better.. does that make sense to anyone?

All I know is that I do like the way it works.. it's much nicer than before.

I wish my dealer had replaced the shorter heads with the longer ones. Luckily, I bought two new heads when I got my PT3. Apparently the shorter heads came with them originally, then they switched to the longer ones.

So far, I have only used the long ones, and am just saving the short ones that came with it for an emergency. The long ones must be better, otherwise they wouldn't have changed them.
