I've been vaping since 2009, and like all of you, I'm in much better heath today than I ever was when I was smoking. My blood pressure dropped from 190/86 to 128/68, no medication. Getting the calcium buildup out of my arteries helped of course, but not smoking is a contributing factor as well. One thing I have noticed... I don't have nearly the energy I had when I was smoking cigarettes. I don't know which of the 4000+ chemicals in cigarettes are responsible for accelerated metabolism, but straight nicotine ain't it! I use to chain vape 28mg nic, but it's never given me the amphetamine effect of a cigarette.

Ahem...you are almost 10 years older than you were when you switched to vape. I'm sure that accounts for some of it.

I'd agree, but I noticed the drop in energy within the first year of quitting. I quit drinking at that time as well, so maybe that has something to do with it? Sugar maybe?

The only thing I miss about smoking cigarettes is the ability to just stick one in my mouth and use both hands for something else while I took a drag. This might be possible with a cigalike device that has an automatic switch. I'll never know the answer to that, and will never want to find out..

I was in my early 30's during a quit attempt and felt unlimited energy at that time. When I switched from smoke to vape in my 50's I didn't get the same burst of energy. I do feel better now, but nothing like when I was a 30-something smoker.

That's exactly my experience as well. I did notice increased energy when I would stop smoking... I guess it must be age related then.

I miss smelling like an ashtray, I miss my wife complaining that I smell like said ashtray every time I come inside, I miss freezing my a*% off going outside to smoke in the winter along with sweating my a*% off in these Florida summer nights. I miss buying a pack or 2 everyday, I miss being able to breath and def miss wheezing all the time...lol.

I don't miss anything about smoking. Not a single thing!

That's great! Personally, I loved smoking cigarettes (Marlboro) and drinking Newcastle. I stopped more because of pricing.
I bet your in the minority, I think most quit for health reasons but either way vaping is safer and cheaper for sure. I hated smoking even before I knew about ecigs. I always knew it was bad for you, it made me stink and always thought it was disgusting, I just was addicted and couldn't do anything about it....until ecigs. Now I hate cigs even more, I can literally puke from the smell. Just yesterday I got some cash change from publics and it stunk to holy hell from cigarettes.

I can't remember the last time I saw someone smoking. I haven't been into a bar since 2009, and most people in my area don't smoke. At $7.00 per pack, I'm not surprised. When I do smell it, I cringe! Pipe tobacco on the other hand will always hold a special place in my heart! :)

I never experienced any physical hinderance as a result of smoking cigarettes. I smoked 3/4 pack a day all the way through boot camp at Ft. Benning, with nary an issue. I think because I was so active, it didn't bother me.

I miss having fire when I light my grill. :)
That brings back a funny memory of mine: a week or so after I started vaping I dropped my keys on the ground one night. The first thing I did was reach into my pocket to get my lighter. I couldn't find the lighter..
