The convenience of just being able to grab a pack when I ran out on the go. With vaping, I have to plan for enough juice and batteries for the duration of a camping trip. Smoking, just run to the bait shop and buy a pack.

^^^That! Cigarettes are a lot more convenient and readily available if you're in a bind. That's absolutely the ONLY thing I miss about cigarettes.

I can't remember the last time I saw someone smoking. I haven't been into a bar since 2009, and most people in my area don't smoke. At $7.00 per pack, I'm not surprised. When I do smell it, I cringe! Pipe tobacco on the other hand will always hold a special place in my heart! :)

I never experienced any physical hinderance as a result of smoking cigarettes. I smoked 3/4 pack a day all the way through boot camp at Ft. Benning, with nary an issue. I think because I was so active, it didn't bother me.
Love the pipe tobacco smell as well, reminds me of my uncle

I miss having hot ash being shot into my eye when I would roll down the window on the highway.
    Ah, the good old days.[emoji6]
I miss the complaints from the passenger in the seat behind me that has his/her window open to catch all my ashes..

I have less pain as a non smoker (I have chronic pain so quitting smoking allowed more blood flow to the base of my spine therefore lowered my overall pain level) I now have lower blood pressure and I can breathe oh so much easier/better, all this results for me in more energy, not less... and I quit caffeine too! Don't need it for energy now.

So... no.. I don't miss any aspect of smoking. I feel a million times better than I did as a smoker. I don't miss the taste, the way it made me feel, or the addiction... I keep a lighter in my purse for lighter emergencies to this day but have never needed it (as I have a grill lighter).. I don't miss the cost or the omg I'm out of smokes run to the store late at night when I don't want to go out..

    Nothing.. nope.. don't miss it.

I miss lightning up a cigarette in a outdoor public place and having 5 random strangers pop out of nowhere ask to bum one off of me.....
    "Gotta extra smoke?"
For some reason strangers don't ask to use my vape...

I forgot about that.. lol.. I swear some people bum just so they aren't out any money for their addiction.. one guy I used to work with bummed so much I finally told him he made the same as I did so he could support his own darn habit, that it wasn't my darn problem.. lol..

I've been vaping since 2009, and like all of you, I'm in much better heath today than I ever was when I was smoking. My blood pressure dropped from 190/86 to 128/68, no medication. Getting the calcium buildup out of my arteries helped of course, but not smoking is a contributing factor as well. One thing I have noticed... I don't have nearly the energy I had when I was smoking cigarettes. I don't know which of the 4000+ chemicals in cigarettes are responsible for accelerated metabolism, but straight nicotine ain't it! I use to chain vape 28mg nic, but it's never given me the amphetamine effect of a cigarette.
It's funny you say that. I find my energy level is improved. I miss lighters sometimes. Not much reason to have a cool lighter when you don't smoke. The simplicity of it and the fact you don't have to plan much. The fact you won't ever not be able to smoke because your battery is dead and cigarettes always work until they are smoked. :D That pretty much covers it.

I miss not having a lighter on me at all times. I can't even begin to count the number of times someone handed me a cold bottle of beer out in the open, and I was perplexed trying to figure out how to open it. You can use the box mod, but sometimes it'll break the glass. Lighters always worked better.

I'm beginning to realize that it wasn't smoking that was giving me energy... It was alcohol. Alcohol = sugar = energy! Now that we're discussing it, alcohol had a "......" effect (on me) as well. If I ever do go back to smoking (which I doubt), it will be with pipe tobacco. Ever notice how cigarettes would burn on their own, but pipe tobacco (cigars) go out if you don't feed it oxygen? Is the propellant in the cigarette tobacco, or is it in the paper, I wonder?
